  1. So instead of spending many hours , wasting time on Football Manager, you spend many hours productively on here . Good work Mate
  2. First time we went there we were turned away as we just wanted drinks, fair enough at times I suppose. Not been there for ages so I wont comment as it may have improved, but like you say not heard great things.
  3. I'm glad you said this. We ended up there after a Weller gig and thought they were being ****ts because we got there late. Shit service, average food in a place I didn't want to go to. Not a big fan of the one in Clifton TBF.
  4. I'm judging this decision, not on probability or reasonable behaviour, but on out injury record. Day after He goes, odds on Max gets an injury.
  5. So he signed until the end of the Season. Loans can only be recalled during a window, unless both Clubs agree . Why would we agree to this ? His return would leave us with Max, Harvey Wiles-Richards the next most senior and Buse who is on loan. Can someone explain how this is working, and why ? Seems odd.
  6. First of all, what have we got and what have we missed ? I think the recruitment has been promising, not without it's blips but promising. Defence; Tanner , done OK IMO. First season in the Championship he has done quite well. Wilson , still an unknown , has not played enough to judge but looks a quick and willing runner. Like a new signing next year. Naismith , big miss from two positions, very important player. Atkinson , one of Nige's first signings. Has grown over his time and is a big miss ATM. Just to make a point about what we are missing defensively ATM. Sykes and James were the Midfield signings ( I wont count King as it felt short term and I doubt he will be renewed ), Both have been very good this year. James has shown real class and Sykes will be better for this season. The strikers are interesting as I think we go with what we have. Mehmetti looks a handful and will be better as he gets used to the team, already becoming a favourite. Cornick still dividing opinion , but we should be able to see what we have after the International break. I think there is reason to be optimistic over recruitment now, a real focus and understanding through the Club. Targets have been decided on and signed with little fuss, if we can do the same in the summer , with or without Scott , I believe there is reason to think we could have a successful year. Whether that would mean Playoffs would depend on just how good the Summer goes, but in the words of Ian Dury ..... Reasons to be cheerful . IMO, this is his first real window of progression. So many other things going on previously, I think he's done well so far, but this window it feels more like we are in control. We still have Kalas & DaSilva to make decisions on (personally I think they will go) , but the start of the season will feel like Nige's side for the first time. It's going to be a long summer , if we haven't been linked with 30 players by June 1st I'll be surprised.
  7. There were a few that have been good, but for me Scotty has been on the highest consistent level.
  8. Secret affair - Shake and shout
  9. I follow some Tranmere lads on Twitter, they haven't been complimentary about the style of football and now they've fallen away from the Playoffs it was on the cards.
  10. I went Scott , Scott and Nahki scoring a Pen.
  11. I've not been impressed so far. Looking at reports it made sense, high intensity hard worker. Never had a great goals record, so signed as support or 2nd striker ? I think he may be trying too hard, some of his pressing has looked directionless, but keen. He will obviously need to learn our triggers and plans, when we come back from the break will will hopefully see what we have bought. This 2 weeks will give time for recovery, time for injured to come back and time to work on the training pitch instead of Play - recover - play - recover . It has felt to me like Nige is playing Cornick and Bell to give them chance to play themselves into the team. You know what you get from Nahki and you know he's professional enough not to kick up a fuss. From April 1st we will see how good he can be, so Hurry up Harry.
  12. Still listed as Head of Strength And Conditioning Coach at Bristol City , on Linked in.
  13. Is there anyone can help ? My Niece is having problems with her Instructor, he keeps cancelling and doesn't want to do evenings after agreeing to. She is struggling to get any consistency as she never knows when the lesson will be. Plus the lessons go over the same things to catch up on the time shes missed them. Is there anyone that can suggest a good, reliable Instructor, maybe one that does evening lessons ? Thanks in advance.
  14. This is key for me. 25 with over 100 Championship games, would cost a lot to replace. We need to add to the CBs and a new contract would seem an obvious move, I doubt he's on massive wages either.
  15. It's Division 5 if you don't mind, and they loved going to all those new places and were glad to be there. They said so. Loyal and true , deluded though too.
  16. I went to Luton 3 times one year, only one went ahead. No one recompensed me for travel and beer money for the 2 called off, so **** 'em.
  17. It's a little bit like that geezer trying to stick his thumb in the Dyke , stop laughing at the back, There was nowhere for the water to go and sweeping it off was pointless and judging by the body language says that. It looks really bad, but made absolutely no difference. There were no drains at the side of the pitch you could push the water. I wouldn't be surprised to hear Cardiff had put a complaint in but I don't think it will go anywhere. That's a great way of doing it, even if you started from scratch timewise, to start with the same score make a lot of sense.
  18. There were rumours he had a job lined up for next year, but that does sound like a resignation letter. He does have a point all the same. Pochettino said he had to rebuild the whole squad to move on, Levy and the rest disagreed and he was gone. 4 Managers and about £400 million later it looks like he was right. I did see one rumour saying he would be back, not so sure. I know a few Arsenal fans and my Brother in Law is Spurs so I'd like to see them win something, just doesn't feel likely ATM.
  19. This is where you have to mention the Arnold Palmer (?) quote ... "The harder I practice, the luckier I get "
  20. I love that he seems to score lots of goals, by doing not very much. Those where he's just in the right position for a tap in. No just a scorer of great goals, a great goal scorer.
  21. He has at least 13 games left and is on 42, should get his 50 at this rate ?
  22. Joey holding back says "They feel cheated" and "incompetent officials" Just imagine he said what he wanted. Oh, he said he says "we can't tell the truth as they will come after you" . He also says it wasn't a Pen and it should have been a yellow not Red. Well that is definitely not the truth
  23. Slight sidestep, but it was today. Saw the 2nd half of Spurs game at Southampton. I thought Southampton deserved a draw , they played well. But the Penalty decision looked dodgy, didn't look any real contact. Even the commentator said it would be overturned, so agreeing with him I looked away and missed the next bit, only to turn back when it was upheld. I'd like to see that one again. Further down I see my betting jinx was back, Derby losing at home, Spurs throwing a 2-0 lead, Millwall losing at home and Watford not being able to beat Wigan. I should use my bets for the greater good, I bet on someone and they drop points, it's my Super Power.
