Yep, can't recall a game Nahki missed through injury. A regularly fit Kalas easily gets a contract, one with doubts over availability doesn't, after a long spell out.

Agree with what you say Dave, but Weimann has ben anonymous for a fair time now, he's made little impact either starting or from the bench. It would have been a big call to bring on OTC, but maybe a better fit. Even King , with him and James splitting the pitch but not getting too far forward. I just thought we looked light in MF after the change and missed Scott on the ball further forward. Scott ended up trying to dribble out and getting caught and robbed. Not sure OTC is ready for a start so Tuesday will be interesting.

There was one point he chased back, near the touchline. He caught up and nibbled but then stopped. I was shouting No NO at the TV, luckily the Mrs was out. He has shown restraint , just hope he can keep it going. I know what you mean, but I think with Mehmeti, or Weimann, we are a man short in MF. Might be worth trying Mehmeti on the right and give Sykes a rest, and it would allow him to go outside and get crosses in.

I can see Nige going that way, but I think Weimann has been or can be , quite anonymous in that role. TBH if I was trying to get AW in the team it would be CF, but I don't think Pearson will go that way. We have 4 games to get through before Naismith comes back, Wilson will probably get some games before the break, but we are close to bare bones. Hope Scott can avoid that booking for a few more games.

We have one RFB Two LFB's One CB That will be our defence Tuesday, unless King gets the nod , which I don't think he will , as We have three fit MF's plus OTC. I think we might see King come in for Williams. Unless Weimann starts in Scotts role and AS drops back . My guess is ; Oleary Tanner - Vyner - Pring - DaSilva James - King Scott Sykes - Wells. - Mehmeti

Sadly starting to agree. When he came back and really looked classy, I was trying to weigh up the money. The cost of replacing anywhere near a similar standard Vs his wages. I think the fact he's lasted a couple of games weighs heavily against him.

He's looked imperious since he's come back, I thought a new contract was a no-Brainer. This sort of flags up why there is a question mark against it. Even reduced wages , and that would still leave him at the higher end of our wage bill, can we afford to risk it ? I really like him, and if we weren't haemorrhaging money maybe we could work something out. I know anyone can get injured but I have a feeling this could be the last straw.

I think we started with the wrong team, easy to say I know but I had genuine doubts before. Williams starting again was a concern, but you have to go with what was recommended and you can't allow for injuries. I did think we may have started King though. Bell as CF. In todays game it surely had to be Wells. Bell ended up making the same runs as Sykes, I think he needs to play along side a central striker. The small squad makes it difficult to rest players, sadly the one area we have choices I think Nige made a mistake today. The game I thought was fairly even, they had a bit more power and strength and the movement was good. We didn't move the ball quickly enough and with Bell and Sykes playing on the shoulder, why not stick the ball in behind the WB, that pass was on so often and we hesitate every time and usually go back. Mehmeti annoys me sometimes, been great for a couple of games but doesn't seem to have a left foot. You could tell Scott was frustrated, ended up trying to do everything. TBF they set up and did a number on us, and with a hard game Tuesday we didn't seem to have the legs early on. Later on, when we had to get something, we should some overdue urgency. It was the one part of the game we looked ok. We will struggle at Huddersfield Tuesday, one fit CB and half the team needing a rest. Not scored in open play for a while. Nige will have his work cut out. King , Wells , and possibly one of the kids to start Tuesday .

Scott trying to do too much, trying to run through their MF every time is ridiculous .

Kalas seemed to have trouble with his thigh. Could do with that not being long term, Vyner our last CB standing.

They tend not to take into account how many and where defenders are. Many of them are quite basic or it could take days to work it out I guess.

With a Bell and others on the shoulder, I wish we would knock it longer now and then. The runs are on and it would make them think.

He was part of the squad, given a chance while there was still a chance he might sign the contract offered. When it became totally clear he had no interest in staying, his place on the bench was taken by an Academy player that would be here next year, there were odd occasions when he was needed and he was in the squad. He could only be loaned out in Jan, which he was, it gets a wage off off the bill and gives him a shop window. Looking at the stats, they finally accepted he wasn't going to sign around October. Only made the Match day squad once since. Apparently we turned down a decent offer 18 months ago, things don't always work out I guess.

Although he was a young prospect when he joined and would have been on ok money, I doubt it was near the higher earners, plus to try and protect their investment it would have had to be on a par , but probably higher as less is the same as offering a free . I imagine it was less than he hoped for, though it could have just been his agent whispering in his ear.

He was originally offered a contract around a year ago, give or take. I imagine it would have been enough to qualify for Compensation . He sat on it for some time, but as soon as it gets to January you know he's off. The rules going to a European team are different, I can't get my head around them to gauge how much we might get, but we won't get near the money we paid.

Don't know I missed that, then had to go out and missed most of Bangladesh's Innings. Caught up when I got back, best I've sen him bowl possibly. Can be a real threat when he gets it moving like that.
