  1. Local Derby , with a young Scott Murray interview .
  2. Wife asks what's up with the car love, oh I flooded it Dear
  3. There is a good book with loads of photos of the Gate through the years, out of print now I believe. With all the other ones, these photos always make me stop for a second look.
  4. I like it on the leisurewear, but absolutely bizarre playing hide and seek with the badges. Perhaps , because the Club badge is on the back it's a loophole ?
  5. Couple of points... Looks a little washed out to start with> I thought you couldn't have 2 different badges in a season , could be wrong. I wonder if these kits are stop gaps and the badges will be sewn on later. That said, I don't hate it.
  6. Totally get your point, but everything would depend on where his career went. You put clauses for games played, honours won etc and you would still expect his value to rise just by being there. So even if he went to a smaller club after it could be worth something. You are right though, the Webster type route looks best for us. Sell to a middling Prem Club for decent money, then hope a bigger fish comes in for him. I still hold out hopes for Webster to get a "big" move.
  7. All together now - The Farm
  8. This is turning into a great thread, as well as Will Still stuff, I just learnt .. AVB lived in the same block as Bobby Robson at 16. Robson appointed him to Porto's observation department. Then arranged for AVB to get his coaching Licences. Got his "C" Licence at 17 ! Does show luck plays a big part. As a side note, just reading Gary Numan's Biography and he says the same, but adds. He believes you can reduce the amount of luck you need. He read reviews and studied where the music papers did most of their reviews and where Labels would tend to gather. Then tried to be and play those venues when he could. Interesting take on it. I did know that Mourhinho was Robsons interpreter though.
  9. Totally, and I have the feeling over here he wouldn't have got the opportunity, which would have been a loss. I really hope he has some real , tangible success along the way, but never loses his spark. I will watch with interest.
  10. It's a fantastic story, it's amazing anyone gave him a chance to start with. I was mesmerised by his training session too.
  11. Still going strong Mods, any chance of adding his name to the heading as it's far beyond just FM Manager.
  12. Went to the Mint Room, and it really feels like it's nice, but I've done that now. Urban Tandoor is different, we went back and will go back again. Check out their social Media, it's interesting.
  13. Really ? Interesting , I was convinced Sykes was a Pen, though didn't get too animated at the time as we don't get those. I'll try and watch it back in the morning. Another game though , where not making the most of dominance meant we had to rely them missing a couple of chances to get the points. Today we had a lot of blocked shots, not sure we tested their Keeper. They had 2 really good chances.
  14. So not sent off judging by replies. Yes Ref showing some good common sense, butI'd love to hear that conversation with the assessor or PGMOLXYZ or whatever it is. It is a sending off offence and the Ref could be having difficult conversations at Referees House
  15. Andi's best game this season IMO. Screamer and from his swinger. He can sometimes lace those into a couple of rows past Row Z ( that's way past the non existent Row M in G*s terms) , but that was as good a connection as you will see. Starts outside the post, keeper has no chance. So pleased for him.
  16. I think it's the most likely change from the start, should James fail his fitness test. Whether he would play central or not is the question, with Sykes doing well I think it's likely.
  17. One thing that Pearson never does, is risk a players longer term fitness. I've got to say I admire him for that. James might play, but it will be because he passed the Test. It will be better to miss tomorrow and be available for the next few games. I expect to see Omar Taylor-Clark get his League debut tomorrow, whatever happens and hopefully some pitch time for Wilson.
  18. We've had blue in away kits previously, and as long as it isn't that scummy blue from North Bristol I don't really care. TBH I'd be more annoyed if they said we would be in quarters.
  19. That "official email" bit, is just the internet version of, "Trust me"....... it ain't gonna happen
  20. One of the few games I've not managed to find a feed, I watched the Radio. Sounded like he did well, put himself about and fired into a few tackles. I really thought he would have made his League Debut by now.
  21. Funny enough I thought it wasn't great Tuesday. I do think it makes it difficult for Max as he seems to be under instruction. The plan seems to be hit either Pring or Sykes, who pull wide. It gives a fairly narrow target for him to hit and it's easy to hit touch. He always looks for the quick throw or kick, but we are rarely ready and it can lead to the ball getting nicked back. If we had a Target man it would mean his aim would be further infield and little chance of hitting touch. When he first came in the side his distribution was very good, I do think we are trying to work to a plan now.
