  1. We had a pirate coach and were having a beer before we left. Radio Bristol announced it was off twice, so a mate said he'd drive us to watch Spurs. Got to the Bath turn off before the grown ups on Radio 2 called the list of games off ,and we weren't on it. Cue panicky phones calls to the pub and arrangements to meet the coach at the first Services North of Bristol. Turned out a great day, and never trusted Radio Bristol since .
  2. As we have a small viewing population of Squatters, and they call the National League (Non League) Division 5, yes I'd say it qualifies.
  3. Things change quickly. Tanner must have worried about his future when we were playing 3-5-2 and WB was the way forward and him being classed as a FB. TBF I thought that was doing him a disservice . But then Wilson comes in with a good rep, then Sykes was playing really well as WB , Tanner looked no where near the team. TBF I think Wilson could play that more advanced role Sykes is playing, but it shows how quickly things change and how luck (good or Bad) can play a part.
  4. Surfin USM - Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine
  5. What stupid play from the Sheff player, easy pass on and tries to beat everyone. Ten seconds and they conceed, madness. Good game
  6. Saw this earlier, brilliant quick thinking.
  7. Clever tactics by the Club, you will now think, actually Downsy isn't so bad ?
  8. Found this on a Spurs site. Can't comment on anything as I wasn't allowed to go to either game as it was school night.
  9. I'm convinced if his next move is right, he plays for England within 2 years. He has everything to make it to the very top. Just needs a little luck, he is some talent.
  10. 15,400 something. I thoroughly enjoyed that. Against a good side we looked solid, we carried a threat, we limited them to a couple of chances and every single player played his part. Just a great day out watching football.
  11. I've watched a bit of Bell in the U21s, it was obvious he could finish. You could see he had a bit about him, but he is showing he has so much more all round game than I'd imagined. I didn't see that burst of pace, he makes good runs and that 2nd shows a real calmness. I really wish that he hadn't had that heavy touch, would have been great for him to get a hat trick today.
  12. I'd take that, but my first choice would be Spurs away.
  13. Totally agree. There should be clarity, honesty and fairness from both sides. Thing is , the numbers involved are ridiculous so people try and manufacture situations.
  14. I would say, knowing he is not here next year has forced Pearson into playing the likes Kadji & Taylor Clarke as they will be, and it gives him a chance to see if they can step up. TBF both parties have said he is there if needed. Different situation IMO
  15. I would say that as Everton brought him up through the ranks, gave him his chance that the current state of the Club has no bearing on his attitude. He should be professional and do things properly, he was always going to get his move, £40m FFS ! He apparently was allowed to miss one training but then agreed to go, and didn't , shit attitude IMO. The difference in moves isn't that different. Yeah, Everton basket case to possible Champions League challengers is a massive move. That said, potential European football to possible Champions is Massive-er, potentially.
  16. I totally get players wanting to move on , to better/bigger teams or just for more money . But there are ways to go about it. It's not a good look for a player, if I was a manager I'd have second thoughts about someone who could down tools if they wanted to move. Problem is, some will encourage it to save themselves some money or just to force the deal.
  17. The one thing this game gives us is breathing space. Would be great to get through, but a game we were always going to be 2nd favourites at least it gives us time for us to find a replacement or two and Pring serves suspension in a game that isn't priority. If it was a League game I might be concerned about lack of players, but it's unlikely we would win the Cup so ....... It's a good chance to give Kalas some minutes and give Bell his first start as a striker. Williams could do with a proper run out and a chance for Taylor-Clarke to have some more involvement . My prediction , we get a Pen in added time at 3-1 down .
  18. Martin Moore & Klose are clearly going. Massengo must have a Club lined up. Questions over Kalas & DaSilva. High wages (currently) and recent injury record makes me think he will be allowed to leave. Unless he takes a big pay cut, takes a per game contract and Nige has seen something he wants in the team. DaSilva hasn't done much wrong, technically one of the best at the club but there are question marks, not sure he fits into what Nige is building. King is slowly moving towards coaching, wouldn't be surprised to keep him in that dual role while he gets his Badges. I think that just leaves new lads or Kids. We will probably need 6 players , or more , before next year to make a Squad. Going to be another tough summer.
  19. A goal almost every other game for Gillingham, us and Wolves. Didn't go well at Leicester but , as you say, 11 goals isn't terrible.
  20. Recently ? About 5/6 years ago went in the Pump House for a meal one evening. Hadn't been there for a while and it was just by chance. Getting drinks as Mrs found a table and I asked for a glass of White wine. I don't drink it so know nothing and the chap quietly said, "It is quite expensive". I just thought he considered me an oik, so I said don't worry as we were eating . Turned out to be £12 a glass, didn't realise until the bill turned up.
  21. Yep, I went all in, to find the original Wakey wines Vids, I will never get that time back.
  22. You're definitely not the only one. I've just about got to the stage of adding time to guess-timates, but still generally out. Really does play with your mind.
