  1. I look at this photo and just give my head a wobble On this day 2018 .
  2. Then it's not a done deal ! They have to say "it's a done deal" to make it a done deal, otherwise it can't be a done deal and the deals not done. I'm sure we all agree, done
  3. You can't say the owners haven't backed the managers, they may have chosen the wrong managers but they've certainly given them money to spend. If the list I saw is right, they are 8th highest net spenders in the World over the last 10 years. You could probably see a problem starting when Keoman came in, signed something like 5 numbers 10s , Recruitment was a shambles. He was there for less than 18 months, gross spend of getting on for £300m and a win % of 41. Then Allardyce , Silva a couple of Caretakers and Ancelotti, before they had the genius idea of Rafa FFS. Now waiting for their 10th manager ( + 4 Caretakers ) in 10 years and a Net spend of £430m , they've actually spent (gross) £559.5m since 2016 under Mosiri . I honestly think they were the only ones (along with Frank and his Dad) that thought Lampard was a good fit.
  4. Replacement rumour. Is informed that former Bodø/Glimt goalkeeper Nikita Haikin has received an offer from Bristol City. If the final details fall into place and the parties reach full agreement,
  5. Totally agree. Bentley is always slow coming for balls, backs away from back passes and rarely comes for crosses. It puts doubts in defenders minds. As you say , Max is consistent and clear, makes a big difference and I think it's shown. There have been times later in games, where Max has come and claimed crosses near the edge of the box. We get possession and control of the game when we need it. Plus Max can improve Bents' won't. Just need cover now.
  6. But you can speak for Johnson ? I'll look forward to GJ's biography where he explains this deliberate slight. His dropping out of the team might have more to do with him scoring once in his last 18 games. From memory most people I knew wanted him to do well, but obviously you know better. After he left us he played 4 times for PNE before moving on. Got about 1 in 7 after his permanent move to Yeovil and 1 in 9 at Exeter, hardly pulling up trees. I , for one was happy he was doing well in, by then, a Division lower than us.
  7. Don't get me wrong, I agree. Super market stuff that never goes off (worrying) even the stuff from the local bakers is just ok. Plus I'm so over sour dough, sadly the Mrs loves it. But at least the part baked ones are warm and fresh. Apparently there is a Boulangerie at the top of Park street, though Trip adviser reviews aren't universally good.
  8. Not exactly what you're after, but we often get the small part baked rolls and do them in the air fryer. Can come out really nicely, crispy and warm.
  9. Not done it for ages, lost interest. Then almost did it in one today. Wordle 584 2/6 ???? ?????

  12. Just to save people a 'click' Nice gesture . Peterborough United: Posh owners to pay for 30 Charlton fans' coaches for rearranged League One game Peterborough United have offered to pay for more than 30 coaches to transport Charlton fans to the rearranged League One game between the two clubs. The initial fixture was called off just 90 minutes before kick-off on Saturday with the pitch deemed "unplayable". Posh chairman Darragh McAnthony later issued an apology on social media for the short notice of the postponement. He and co-owner Jason Neale have now agreed to pay for travel for hundreds of Addicks fans when a new date is set. "I appreciate this won't suit all parties and is of no consolation to both sets of supporters who have been massively inconvenienced, nor will it be any kind of solace to the Charlton Athletic staff, players and management, but we can only apologise on behalf of the football club," a statement on behalf of the co-owners read. Peterborough have also confirmed a full refund will be offered to fans from both sets of clubs who cannot attend the rearranged fixture and will discuss individual cases with long-distance home fans who travelled to the game. They have also vowed to offer free tickets for fans for the next league meeting between the two sides at the Weston Homes Stadium, which will be next season if neither team is promoted or relegated.
  13. How about editing a still with graphics, into the video like a sort of freeze frame with info. Like I know what I'm talking about ? I know how mind numbing it can be. On my videos I keep them simple, and still get caught out by the software removing the text It can be very long winded and time consuming process.
  14. It might be, but everyone having to pay means some STH wont bother. Of around 10 STH I know , we are down to 4 Saturday for various reasons. It would be good to get to 20k, and WBA bringing more than Swansea is a start. I would guess about 14k though.
  15. I expect you are one in many that don't think he's near Legend status. If I'm in a good mood when asked, I'd say decent, but not much more.
  16. That was happening just about every corner, so blatant & so obvious the Ref couldn't have missed it every time. Even when we scored Atkinson was being grappled with. The one that gets me is the one on Scott, Reading? How it isn't given I don't know. I'd like to think that the Referees are so caught up in the game, they aren't thinking about being the first one to give us a Pen since from when Pierluigi Collina was a boy. I think it genuinely is because they are shit Refs.
  17. I typed similar out , but couldn't get the lines right when I did it, so gave up. I'll just have to make do with ..... what he said
  18. We ended up a man light. The crosser points to where he wants the ball , but Naismith is in front and can only react so can not prevent the cross. He could do with being deeper so he can see his man. James or Sykes should probably made a real effort to get back, as Vyner trying to have one eye on Dack and trying to get to the cross ends up doing neither. We end up man for man when we really wanted an extra body in there. Good movement by them TBF, but we could do with more effort to track runners.
  19. Yep. In my mind it feels like it went longer. Never did get my money back mind.
  20. The "goal" yesterday is the sort of thing he's been doing for a while in the U23s, he can finish. The recent games he's really shown up well, all be it against a tiring defence. The cameos he played, and they are few in his "real" position, he hasn't exactly shone. These recent ones it looks like his confidence has grown, he running with purpose and is happy to get into threatening positions. Really unlucky yesterday, but it's great he's getting into those areas. If anything he could have been put through a few more times but the man in possession didn't see him or didn't risk the pass. The more he plays , the better his confidence and hopefully the better others will know his game. Give him the balls to run onto, it's another threat we can use. Really promising.
  21. Should always be followed by a real 40,000 crowd
  22. We were in the open end, I seem to remember Garland hitting the bar. Couldn't see past the box , but they kept playing until they didn't have to refund the money ?
  23. It's a Pen and he's offside, though might be tight.
