Wow this one’s hit me like a train. But it’s wages off the books and money off the TGH fee, so it sounds like good business and we’re getting the better end of this deal imo.

Not confirmed yet but seems close so, goodbye Andi. Scored some goals that send me crazy and will be strange not seeing him on Matchday squads! And don’t bloody score against us!

Emotions aside - this MUST mean an incoming. We were light WITH Andi.

i know what you mean, saddened by his departure. I always liked him.

it's the loss of an experienced pro that will hit us  unless he's replaced.

    surely an attacker lined up?

I had some real hope VAR would check when Bowen scored.

And then when I saw the replay I understood. He was about 25 years onside.

very much so, and Pring in particular was sooo slow to respond to his run.

He continued to do the same thing, move forward then drop back into more space to receive the ball, and we kept leaving him be. i hope they pay more attention in the replay

The first pair of boots I had were like that! My elder brothers hand me downs, with many years of 'dubbin' worked into them!

same. mine actually had bits of wood in the toes and you had to wrap the laces around and around the middle of the boot then tie them up.

as for those orange balls, if you over pumped them it was hilarious.

Well if we have it will mean the board got it spot on, and the majority on here were wrong.

Just to clarify, I have no problem with Liam, just the manner of his appointment which is obviously no fault of his own.

    This.

to assume the board have pulled off some masterstroke is laughable, if you churn your managers every now and again you'll get a bit lucky and it will click in patches. This is a 3 game run !!! so lets sit and wait for end of season before we get all lathered up and start puckering up to Slippery Steve's and BlunderBoys arsehole.

I recall a story about Lord Lichfield, a 'so called' great photographer. he was alleged to have basically taken so many pictures that every now and again he produced something of merit. Monkeys and Typewriters basically.

i will appreciate the wins, and support the team, but as many have said, lets wait and see,

Cycling on roads to commute I'm on board with. Also like you say, if cycle lanes are provided then use them. I'd actually make it law that cyclists have to use them if provided.

What I'm not on board with...and this comes from me a recent ex cyclist, is the hypocrisy of using the roads built for commuting, for a form of racing.

Lycra clad racers, in groups or clubs, clipped in, going as fast as possible, the majority trying to beat their personal best times on Garmin etc.

Clogging up the road, often ignoring traffic laws. Often being dangerous. They don't want to slow down, don't want to unclip...focussed purely on personal best times.

    No insurance.

As someone who's been there and done it, knows how the community think, then imo it's madness.

The lycra clad will also not use cycle lanes.

Oh...and add Jeremy Vine to that. Worst cyclist in the world.

i was going to say people who blame cyclists for everything..... :)

(every bracket of transport has a similar % of bell ends )

    so while we're here...

pedestrians who cross the road with headphones on, not looking

Car drivers who park on pavements (VW van owners specifically)

Bus drivers running red lights - who are just *****

    Apologies announcements  on board trains

    VOI scooter riders....

  6. so these guys sponsor both football and rugby teams.

seemed a strange one at the time to me. but if they want to, good luck.

Taking a cursory look at their published accounts via companies house it seems even stranger.

Any of the accountancy whizzkids on here care to take a look and tell me if you see anything other than massive losses! and the one company trading as that name being wound up by the courts.

The director has got lots of other stuff under his name so he may be shuffling stuff around,

i can't think that a sponsorship package comes cheap either.

I love you guys. Know where to go straight away.

So 1.3% are not owned by Pula. How many of those shareholders come here I wonder. And how many regret selling to SL now.

i kept mine - didn't feel like being bullied out of that stake. i don't care if they are worthless, it's symbolic.

Lansdown knows the price of things, but not the value.

  8. "He now walks into one of the best academies at the level where a clear pathway to the first team is already established."

good to know that this is the perception of our academy, it will surely help attract talent, but....

The academy is only as good as the administration and coaching, and the latest re shuffle has altered all that internally again. do we have faith in the Lansdowns to continue to manage accordingly?

Wish the interviewer had asked if Sykes was substituted because he had a knock, he makes a huge positive difference for us in terms of our goal threat and we certainly missed him once he was subbed.

would have helped if he'd played on his favoured side. we got the goal as soon as he and Andi swapped.you could see he picked up his play and clearly was in his more natural position  but then to put him back on the left was pointless.

    red flags there

  10. Given our dear leaders apparent inability to tolerate failure, i wonder if SL will be axing Pat Lam anytime soon?

another loss ( 5 on the bounce now )

The wheels are coming off at the egg chasers.

I know the Boy Blunder isn't part of the rugby set up, so be interesting to see what happens.

Our training kit has come in many many non-red colours over the years. Why the issue with sky blue, but none of the previous colours?

for me this colour is a particularly revolting shade of bluey whatever, i get that some people are 'meh' about this, but without igniting the whole branding thing again, the lack of consistency throughout our kit/traing kit/leisure wear leaves me cold.

the overall design of this training top is also pretty ugly IMHO but i get that this is more down to the O Neils catalogue of choices in their kit.

if i were running it, the main kit and therefore main training kit would always reflect the red and white branding. Red and White surely being our identity over time. this doesn't stop the ability to also design different kits and styles, and it would also mean that the second strip and third and more so in the leisure wear you could have variations.

and i would absolutely ditch the ******* awful 'flying Robin' badge and just stick to the main Robin logo.

Thanks Ant, this last weekend has been a tad fraught with her but generally going ok.

That said life has a way of just kicking you in the bollox.  My 99 year old Dad in Australia lives with and is looked after by my Sister in Adelaide since Mum died a couple of years ago.  Yesterday I got a call from my Nephew to tell me my Sister has advanced stages of cancer.  It is in her Spine, Stomach, Liver, Pancreas, Lungs & Lymphatic system and she has maybe 3-6 months to live.  Obviously, she cannot continue to care for Dad so we are now frantically trying to find a Care Home for him to move to.  I'm starting to give up on life TBH.

i will just say that sometimes it feels like it's coming at you from all angles, but just take a breath and go at your own speed. it will pass.

It's not the same situation as yours by a long chalk but this last year with my mum has felt like that - one thing then another, (and we had that same scramble for a home. Hopefuly Aus is better than the totally shite care system in the UK)  but i tell myself it will pass. try to find the small stuff you enjoy doing as well, as all the negative stuff just takes over - someone said make a list of 5 good things that happen to yourself every day, i actually found that tough, but get the point.

right now i am enjoying a cup of tea (! - even the small stuff counts) here and now, thats good enough.

a good friend of mine once said 'i thought i'd hit bottom, then i heard knocking from below' and while that sounds pretty dark, it kind of makes me smile.

    chins up
