Pretty poor so far. Pressure will be ridiculous for Manning if we lose this.

I really cannot warm to him sorry to say.

I think that if he was interested in the job when Cotterill went, and he had got it, we would have had PL football by now.
Indeed. I am quite surprised to hear he was interested when Cotts left to be honest, to think that Steve Lansdown chose LJ over Pearson back then truly is astonishing really and shows how clueless him and his boy are.

Classing Pearson as a failure and Johnson as mixed is laughable. The reason Pearson had two hands behind his back while here was because of the previous regime.
Give Pearson the tools Lee had and he would have got us in the top 6. Sure of it. Invest the money he earned developing Scott and he would have had us close too.100%. I have said it a million times before but if Pearson was allowed the warchest that little Lee was allowed to spunk up the wall we would have had at least a shot at the Play-offs by now.

Club is in crisis and in freefall, genuinely fearing a relegation battle now. An absolute farce and a disgrace that it could come to this.

Ipswich away is probably just a case of how many we lose by....Swansea home is huge in my opinion..we are 16th and they are 12th on current form...lose to them and we are in trouble I feel...we are definitely on the slide...after the last few displays I'm struggling to see where are next 3 points are coming from...very depressing!!
Can actually see us getting something away at Ipswich as mad as that sounds on current form..

All this was predicted by many on here when Manning came in including myself.
We just don't have the players here at the football club to play the way Manning wants to play, i personally didn't believe it would be quite this bad though and had hoped he would have had a plan B.
He clearly doesn't and cannot adapt to the players we have, its a painful watch and he will need transfer window after transfer window to get the players he wants and maybe then we will start to see progression.
It's another huge re-set and re-build job despite what the boy and Tinnion said to fans.

Superb post. I hope you don’t get stick as you’ve dared to say you don’t like Saint Nigel.
I've asked one of your lot before but didn't get a response so i'll ask again.. Are you salaried at Bristol Sport or do they pay you over time for posting on this forum on the weekends?!

Nah, he was perfect as our manager not DOF and i don't believe he ever wanted that role or title anyway..
All Nige needed was a competent CEO above him and more importantly the funds/nest egg to spend and he would have been successful.
The Lansdowns and particularly Steve really are ******* idiots, they put their ego's above the greater good of the football club and always will. *****!

The “biggest bit” here is the lack of accountability and the thematic from priors of the team being well coached and it’s them who are the problem. He mentions that Pat Mountain had coached the team on what to expect from the set piece but we still conceded (and that’s fair - we all knew how Cardiff would attack), but if you want the take home quote skip to 1:45 “We’ll do the coaching and we’ll do the work to get you there but it’s what happens at the end of it”
He talks in the interview earlier about leadership and accountability but doesn’t seem to show an ounce of it. Add to the delusional only one in twenty poor performances pre match (I’m assuming this was fine so it’s now one in 21 other than QPR and Weds) and you see a real issue - either he’s blinded by the “process” must come good or he genuinely sees nothing wrong in what he’s doing. And if you’re in that mindset, you ain’t the man to manage a football club Liam…
He looks like a rabbit in the headlights doesn't he. Dear oh dear what what a truly horrendous appointment.

I have come to the conclusion the Lansdown's don't actually want the best in class individuals to run the football club.
This is the setup Steve truly wants. A young inexperienced headcoach that he and the regime can manipulate, the boy of course as the chairman, and Tinnion a man who has shown over the years he will run over hot coals for the Lansdown regime and will grass, back stab and do whatever it takes to keep in their good books as 'techincal director'.
As others have said they all and in particular Steve deserve everything they get. I don't want to see the club relegated but honestly that is what they all deserve.
