This squad is so boring. No stars, no flair players, barely watchable.

It's terrifying that the powers that be genuinely believe this team is capable of promotion.

The young players are raw, the senior players are washed, and the manager is already losing the battle with his hairline.

Club needs a fresh start and new leadership/ownership, until then I have absolutely no interest in coming back.

I hear you. It's not that i don't like this group of players.. personally it's for me it's the most likeable group we have had in a while, they are battlers grafters and will do anything for the shirt, i can't fault them for that but they just aren't good enough if we want to push on.

Im ranting on but for me under Pearson i was just starting to enjoy watching BCFC, aslong as we kept our championship status i was happy with seeing a team full of committed players albeit slightly limited in skill.. I have just had a gutsful of yet what is clearly going to have to be another rebuilding job under Manning when there was no need..

They also said this is the best squad they’ve had in years.
I’d argue it was better just 10 months ago when it still had Semenyo & Scott.
    The 15/16, 16/17 & 17/18 team beats this one 10 times out of 10.
I honestly don’t know what planet they’re on.

100% agree. This public stating of Top 6 prowess is not only delusional but baffling that when we have been in positions of much better talent and actual clout in regards to a play-off push the Lansdown's have said nothing if note..

Maybe im rambling but i just don't understand the logic man. They have lost the plot IMO.

We've gone backwards, by a year or 2.

Apart from the abysmal position NP inherited, when half the squad was injured, a third of the squad out of contract, behind closed doors...

This is the joint 2nd worst winless run out of NP and Manning. His worst was 5 in the League from the start of 2021-22, then 4- when downsizing and rebuilding.

Manning has already hit 4, from a 40% win ratio, 1.4 PPG and a slowly declining injury list.

    How far can we fall.

Agreed mate. As i have said on previous posts, manning has come with a philosophy (not knocking it) however our current squad doesn't have the ability to do it at this level and get the results that are required.

It's painful as another rebuild is clearly required to get footballers that can carry out Mannings philosophy (whilst getting results) to match the boards stated plans. It's painful and unrealistic and IMO Manning has been set up to fail.

    A few chants of

    sack the board

    sack the board

    sack the board

    wouldn’t go amiss.

Would love this, but it won't happen.. Sleep walking our way back to League 1 it feels. A third tier league and cup double may get that masses on board again though.. rinse and repeat.. hard work this club man..

    Cornick or Weimann probably.

Definitely not the actual people to blame, the Lansdown’s & Tinnion.

100% and this is the problem. The amount of people (away from otib in boozers around Bs3) that continuously say we should be grateful for Steve and the stadium and training is painful.

After almost 2 decades of ownership and the funds he has available (whilst that him and his boy are a fan) is the bare minimum!

I feared it the second they sacked NP. Not because NP was the best manager in the division, he isnt. But because of one simple word.

    Stability.

And we chcuked it out the window as our manager rightly felt he wasn't being backed and the owners ego count take valid and accurate feedback without Gould buttering him up.

If we get relegated, and I hope not  - but it would be everything the leadership deserve. This should have been all sorted (new manager, full preseason) over the summer period. Simple planning, structure, and targeted recruitment.

Instead, we, the fans, now have no choice but to feel sorry for Manning, and pray he adapts. All because of their ego and stupidity.

I echo everything you said mate. Nige gave us stability, a battling lower mid table team, whilst not glamorous he was IMO doing the absolute most that anyone manager could do with this squad without significant funds. We all accepted that and i felt with Pearson we were in 'safe' hands in terms of the drop..

We now have a manger that is expecting far too much of a limited squad. They aren't good enough at this level for total possession based football (that yields results) i genuinely fear they will lose the siege mentality, not through effort or passion just because what they are being asked is beyond them.. worrying times man.

I’ve never known a manager to be so much out of his depth, i really feel sorry for the poor sod.

holden mark 2? i'm starting to feel genuinely steve and  that the Lansdown family do this on purpose.. someone of Steve's business astute  cannot make these decisions time and time again without knowing the consequences.. the guy is a billionaire and he runs BCFC as if he were on the doll

Nothing manager, nothing club. Can’t see anyone getting it right there.

Indeed. I genuinely feel for relegated Prem clubs that if you can't bounce back within the time frame of your parachute payments then it becomes an almost impossible task.

At least Stokies have a decade of Premier league football to look back on, an Fa cup final and an appearance in Europe. Not bad for a club that is similar size to us in fairness.

  9. We are what we are. A workman like battling team that lacks quality, money needs to be spent but we knew all this under Pearson. Manning won't get anymore out of this team (in terms of the fantasy dream of top 6) than Pearson did without spending.

Personally im just so glad that Nige did the job he did because for all our lack of quality we never give up and battle till the end. At least Manning has that base to build from as we would be up shit creek beyond belief had Pearson not done all the work he did and this current management team inherited the squad we had in 2021.

A bit odd he felt the need to announce it. All it does is draw attention to it. You could argue it's a bit unprofessional given his role.

This is all i've taken from it really, unprofessional to announce it and personally think the 'see you in the Premier league' comment at the end is not only fairly delusional given where the footbaling side of things is at the moment but ultimately just puts needless pressure on himself and others at the football club - especially if it doesn't happen under Tinnion and the current management teams watch.

As you said unprofessional from Tinnion but i'd expect nothing less from him in all honesty.

    Clueless...really?

You say...' Manning is clearly playing a new style of play' to Pearson.

    Let's think about that.

We are told the Club analyse and recruit players to play a certain way.

They would have done that under NP.

All the Clubs teams playing a certain way, and players recruited to play that way.

Any new coach/ manager would be installed to fit in seamlessly and ' tweak' not ' overhaul' the way the club plays.

Any coach coming in, trying to implement ' their way' with players already here, brought in and coached to play another way...is not a seamless transition. It's an overhaul.

The Club want Manning to put this present squad in the top 6 this season...that's what's been implied, otherwise he'd have been approached in the summer.

To try and overhaul this squad, to play differently, mid season and expect top half/6 is completely bonkers.

This is my gripe and something i would have loved somebody to have asked dumb and dumber (Tinnion and JL) at the Hen and Chicken.

We don't have the players to play the way Manning wants to play, we don't have the quality in midfield to play effective possession based football at this level that will yeild results and enough points to get us into the top six.

Nige was trying to mould us into a counterattacking team and that was how the squad was being built. Plainly obvious that Manning is going to need transfer windows to get in players more suited to playing his way IMO.

Like i said i'd love to ask Tinnion and Lansdown directly how they genuinely think this squad are good enough to not only get into the top 6 but get there playing Pep Man City style possession based total football. It is ******* madness.

Carlo Ancelotti probably the GOAT in terms of player and manager.

Won multiple leagues and cups, domestically and in Europe as both.

Ancelotti, only manager to win the Prem, LaLiga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.. as you said undoubtedly the GOAT if we are talking greatest managers and players of all time IMO.

I always thought the ceiling of the Dolman still looked like it needed a lick of paint after the re-fit was finished

I thought the re - spray of the Dolman roof would have happened by now, clearly the board have forgotten or just can't be bothered to spend the money on it but it really lets the stadium down especially from an aerial view.

Would also be nice to get some sort of club badge/ identity on the cladding on the outside of the stadium aswell. Walking up to the stadium you wouldn't have a clue that we play there, just swaths of white cladding and not a lot else on the exterior is there. Poor IMO.
