  1. Unfortunately the club had reached base camp on Everest that night but we thought we had reached the summit and we didn't keep going.

We were dining at the top table yes, but only as guests. Some top people at the club began believing the media hype.

The slide in the new year was soul destroying.  A taste of what might have been was quickly lost back in the real world of league  football.

It was a great night though.

  2. I really think we might see Lo

w again today. He was badly isolated and exposed by Sykes and Klose midweek and all 3 were rightly subbed. It may not gave been good for his confidence on Tuesday but it would be a massive boost to his confidence today if Nige put him back in. The comments about trusting players were not imo aimed at Low but more at the players around him.

Tough selection job for Nige today but it's what he's well paid for.

  3. The guy just needs a goal from somewhere.  Remember his early goals came from just closing down the keeper and getting a ricochet.  Once he gets one he will start firing again. He's a confidence player that just needs a spark to get him going. Rather he was in our side than playing against us.

Problem is, will Nige be patient with him?

  4. Excellent article. Glad he is OUR manager, but I think he's telling us to be patient. Get the foundations right and the structure will remain solid.

Seems to say we are still missing some links to make the chain stronger but yeah, so glad he is here.

Why don't the club put away fans in the upper Lansdown, so we can have City fans behind both goals and improve the atmosphere?

Because I sit in the Lower Lansdown, and I don't want to be covered in p*ss every game. I've no objection to the coins (or notes) though.?

Seriously though I do think we should have home fans behind both goals, but logistically I don't see how the club could do it

  6. Kloses performance last night enabled Atkinson to be more adventurous and forward thinking. The whole team looked better because they had confidence in the defence , including Max. Let's build on this now.

More sussed I think, I thought that on the way home from the game yesterday, teams know we try to play out from the back push up on us and force errors of which yesterday there were plenty.

This exactly. I commented yesterday to my mate that they had done their homework on us and were exploiting our weaknesses. (Casual at the back, always looking for the safe defensive pass, stopping and turning back, always throwing the ball backwards at our throw ins.)

If I can see our weaknesses, then its open for all to see. I know the ball across the back line is supposed to draw the opposition in but were just not very good at it.

That’s definitely applies to my bowls club. We got promoted for the first time ever to Premier2 by playing attacking bowls.

As for me getting beaten in three semi finals, two of them were pairs and it was all my partners fault……..…….:whistle2:

I'll believe this when it's on the official website.

I’m definitely an entertainment over results guy which at long last we’re getting

I'm greedy and want both. Which we  are now getting.

Let's not forget Niges health problems which affected his input last 18 months. We've a way to go yet but we are now facing the right way at last.
