The Cheif Medical officers are naturally very cautious in same way lawyers always are, which is fair & to be respected.

The PM has such low trust & credibility that it’s impossible to support any of his narratives.

There’s a lot of uncertainty but also the playing field is starting to level up through Vaccines, Awareness & Measures.

Living in a world of 24/7 news channels doesn’t help.

We’re further ahead than same time last year, but not out of the woods by any means so we need to accept those less at risk can live a more normalised life & those at higher risk need to live more cautiously for now.

Those who are low risk but have contact with high risk have the important role & decisions to make - at this time of year it might be sensible to take a rain check on attending events to keep their high risk family safe.

I don’t see the need for all the partisan sh1t on here & accept everyone is in a different place & had to manage their own risk.

The highlighted bit represents my view. I am a triple jabbed, flu jabbed , masked wearer, hand washing,  guidance follower, who is fed up to the back teeth with the current and incoming restrictions and would normally be at the match whatever. BUT, I have a partner who is vulnerable and she is my absolute priority.  Yes I will be going out doing what I have to at this time of the year,  but football is so insignificant in the greater scheme of things. Each to their own but please put things in perspective.  Season greetings and good health to all.

Of course the prices aren’t outrageous for a single match but, in the context of the club previously asking fans to forgo season ticket refunds previously, shows how far out of touch they are with the fans currently.

The club missed a great opportunity to thank the fans once again.

They won’t gain much from selling 8000 tickets.

Especially if a quarter of them are kids for a quid. Bad marketing this time City!

    "It's a football match not a crèche"

Have you replied to the wrong post?

Sorry about the confusion. I was just continuing our banter and giving my reasons why I was unhappy about the pricing. I'm all for encouraging the kids to come as they will be our future but 2 or 3000 kids at a quid, who won't all come back again,  won't make up for the loss of adult attendance at theses prices. I think they got it wrong this time.

The club would have been dead years ago if it wasn't for Mums, Dad's and grandparents taking them to the Gate and getting them interested.

Taking with them a massive bag of sweets!

Kids are the future, welcome them!

We're playing  them in the league the following week, but my s/t seat will cost about £5 less then.  Surely the price shouldn't  be dearer because its a cup tie. It's hardly a glamour tie ffs.

£10 or less for everyone aged 22 and under though. So cheap for new younger fans.

I don't think it's a crazy pricing list tbh. It's not cheap but it's not eyewaterlingly expensive.

You could do a parent plus 3 kids in the Lansdown for 40. That's about the same as a single potd ticket for a league match in the same area.

    It's a football match not a crèche

  6. Approaching an opposition player already on a yellow in the hope of getting him/her sent off is the sort of misguided judgements these lunatics would make, and it could well alter the outcome of the match. Best thing for the players to do is take a breather and leave it to the officials to deal with, unless of course they are defending themselves.

Reportedly crashed due to the sudden influx in people suddenly accessing it at the same time.

I noticed that the app changed a few weeks ago between when I went on holiday to when I went to the show in London

Could this happen at a match then when potentially 10-15000 people all trying to access their apps at the same time along with the same situation at 40 other grounds?

Yes I certainly wouldn’t count Wolves or Bournemouth but there’s nothing bar one new stand that’s even on the footprint of the old ground, the pitch has moved and new stands all around.
Anyway we’ll probably be away to Morecambe so……..

Nothing wrong with Morecombe.  I had a nice time there about 11pm one Saturday many years ago. Lovely girl, very accommodating.

I thought the Metro service was supposed to cover most of Bristol from North to South or was that a red herring

You actually believe what our mayor says????

Seriously, put a system of overhead monorail in place and leave the roads to us motorists and cyclists.

Me too, I thought we were a conservative side in possession but they were something else, as others have said, their centre backs seemed to pass it to each other repeatedly without seemingly even trying to open us up, plus WTF was that short goal kick stuff all about?

Bound to get caught out if they keep farting about with it in their own penalty area if you ask me.

The goal kick stuff is to draw us in then to bypass us with  long ball. Seemed we did our homework on this and they ended up like the Chuckle brothers,  to me to you etc.

It wasn’t bad refereeing - kicking the ball away after the whistle has blown is time wasting and a yellow card offence ...

The clever players pick the ball up and hold onto it whilst confronting the referee.  This gives them time to organise. Yes it's still time wasting but it never ends in a booking. Kicking it away is so blatant. Get savvy lads.

  12. I just can't fathom why the team that fought tooth and nail for every ball against Stoke on Wednesday were so submissive today.  Don't anyone dare tell me that the players were tired. They are paid to play football and playing 3 times a week is not uncommon.  They have just had an International break . Something is wrong here at our club and it could cost us if its not resolved soon.

  13. This club lost its momentum when Cotts left.  Yes LJ did ok up until the Man Utd game when he thought he had become Jurgen Klopp.  We've been sliding backwards since then and now relegation is a real possibility, it may be to late for the club to wake up. We may well be heading back to our average position of Champ/Div 1 yo yo club.. Opportunities have been wasted and so the cycle continues.
