We just need to do what we did yesterday and get Antoine running at them. They`re already a CB down after Burke got sent off v Blades and Sonny Bradley has the turning circle of the Titanic.

Up and at `em I say!

I’d love for nothing more, but if it doesn’t happen, it’s still going to be alright

  2. The elephant in the room is that both teams dislike each other and fans would happily knock 10 bails out of each other and give it some for 90 minutes.

Its what makes football atmospheres and Its what Execs would love to recreate but using parents and kids and crap music, but will always fail.

I know the booing is pantomime but I always fear it can spur a player on and then dramatically backfire.

Probably because I, like others, remember Stan Collymore playing for Forest against us. After one too many choruses of ‘What a waste of money’ he got so angry he was sticking the v’s up to the fans and scored a Hat-trick in a few minutes to bury us and silence the fans.

And yes, there were Rovers fans in the away end that day too.

Just like singing  1-0 and you ****** it up, I could never bring myself to do it. ?

It’s just football, ultimately, it doesn’t matter if people boo.

    You should try living through a Testaverde/ Pennington/ Favre/ Sánchez/ Smith/ Fitzpatrick/ McCown/ Darnold era...

?? I do get it, but I just can’t believe they we’ve gone from Favre to Rodgers and only been to the super bowl 3 times in 30 years. It’s just quite unreal.

  5. Unbelievable.

I joked all season that the special teams would cost us and here it is.

Failure is a measurement you set yourself (Before any Lions/Browns fans etc start moaning) and for the Packers to have only won 2 Super Bowls (only been to 3!) in the Favre/Rodgers era is just staggering.

What a waste of Rodgers this has been.

There was a ball put into our RCB channel first time in the second half with Harris a good few yards ahead of Kalas.  He put on the after-burners, and elegantly cruised past Harris to win the ball.  Very good today.

That stood out for me as well, deceptively quick.

I fail to see why it's so hard to not just put the ball in the quadrant and get on with it, all the nonsense about overhanging by the minimum amount. What next? Doing the same with ball on centre spot or pen spot?

You mean they don’t put the ball on the spot????

I wouldn't say it's embarrassing, happens at every club when ex players return. Always going to happen at a derby game.

It's just pantomime really, and I'm sure Pack and Flint expected it, and weren't worried about it or offended by it.

    Absolutely.

I didnt join in the pack chants, quite a few didn’t.

But it really isn’t a big deal. Pack knows the score. Of course city fans like him and respect him.

Thought Pack was OK today, won a lot of second balls and often had lots of time but didn't really offer much going forward.

In terms of the booing, I personally don't see much of an issue, somebody mentioned pantomime which I agree with. Give them a respectful clap before and after the game and during it no issue with trying to get in their heads. Definitely worked with Flinty when he shouted '**** off' to the south stand...

His pride was just hurt. Antoine absolutely exposed him in that second half.

Imagine doing that to 2 players who both spent a minimum of 5 years at the club, were part of the double winning team and the run to the League Cup semi finals. Really poor by some of our own fans that.

That being said i'm glad we put pressure on Flint as he really isn't a Championship level defender anymore

    Is it really a thing?

Fans spend the whole game giving it out, then throw their toys out of the pram when a player dare gives it back. Embarrassing really.

Just on this point, who gave it out( genuine question)?

My mate honestly didn’t realise Austin was playing until he tried to pick a fight.

Not justifying the bottle throwing, but why the increase in players celebrating in front of S82?

Neither Austin or Collins got a hounding prior to them giving it large in front of the home fans.

Not a complaint, it's all banter really, (bottles and similar aside) but it seems more common? Just find it a bit weird

Part and parcel of it. It’s the noisiest part of the ground so if you were consciously trying to wind things up you would do it? Any nause would really.

Any genuine person just celebrates the goal.

Ban the bottle throwers for life, that'll put an end to it.   CCTV time.

  12. He’s finding those positions now and learning how to make get the best of attributes.

Progress. Just like the rest of team.

As a club we created an awful situation, but I believe Pearson will sort it our and start our progress.

As @Davefevs regularly says, Pearson might not be the manger who gets us there, but he will sort this cluster **** out.

  13. I thought he did alright today. He broke up play at the start.

Massengo’s energy is just too much at times.

Hes knows the pantomime of football and knows he was part of a great squad here and is appreciated as such.

It’s the same at concerts where the view of the artist is often obscured by thousands of phones being held up in the air videoing the whole event just to post on Twitter or Farcebook to say ‘ I was there ‘ . Only you weren’t were you ?
You were distant because of your desire to capture the show and not appreciate and ‘ feel ‘ it.
Cameras and video recorders are banned from cinemas why can’t the organisers of live events demand that spectators put their phones away during the concert?

I take no pride in saying ‘I was there’ ?

I know I’m of the wrong generation, but I’ve never thought of posting on a match day thread whilst attending a game of football - I look up at the wider world out there and see things with my own eyes - it’s a little bit sad how some people spend the majority of their day looking down at a device - especially at a ‘live’ football match - unless you weren’t actually attending any ‘live’ matches ...

    ? This made me chuckle?

I tend to have a scan at halftime and see what people are thinking who have a different view.

I also think people who can’t make it would like to hear from fans who are at the game, I know I would.

Lastly, in a sad effort to keep this club alive, I take down 3 boys and often one of their friends. This means at half time I’m often stood in an empty S26 either reading One Team (fanzine) or scanning the forum and the bbc sport website, whilst everyone else is a having a beer. If it makes you feel better I could take my pocket transistor and listen to the radio instead ??

Youre probably of a similar age/generation to me (a little bit older), I just use my phone for stuff other than just ringing my mum ?
