Fantastic! Looks like I have a new local!

I must admit that if I was paying on the day I would seriously have considered IFollow due to the dreadful weather that night and the opposition not being very attractive

Call it what you want, will still be the Gate to me.
Mind you, I still go on my holiday from Lulsgate, and still go down Broadmead.
I think you'll find it's called Lulsgate Bottom and I can't believe you didn't use the opportunity to make a joke out of it you stupid arse!

Strange that I can hear the names of the substitute home team players when announced, so the speakers, if used properly, can be heard!
Just a thought……!
Fair enough! Just felt like a cheap dig at "Downsy"

Didn’t even know he’d come on! Wish “Downsy” would actually speak the names of opposition players instead of mumbling them!
Rather than taking a cheap swipe at Downsy do you not think that part of the problem might just be with the PA system, that has been frequently discussed here over the years?
Just a thought....

Okay from East street direction from Dalby Avenue towards Malago road and Lidl
But no access by Lidl from Malago Road towards Dalby avenue and East street.
So don't end up in the queue in the right hand lane by clinton road under the railway bridge
after the match
Avoid the area all together if possible would be my advice. It's a nightmare during rush hour so who knows what it could be like tonight.

I'm lost for words Scottish. A very emotional but thoroughly thought out post. Best wishes and condolences to you and all of your family.
P.S. Your time will come when you are ready to visit the gate again. Just go steady for now and you will know

Tried to get ch940 says it's unavailable are you sure it exists?
But if it told you it's unavailable then surely it exists in order to tell you that it isn't available? Perhaps that's the reason for it's existsence?

Depends how you look at it @Finley_Smith10.
Football fans suck up modern football far too easily in my opinion. You frequently hear of football fans wanting to protest about something or other, whether that's ownership (Perhaps the most common), challenging the position of the manager on the back of a long run of bad results, or simple things like ticket pricing. Quite often these protests don't come to fruition, or at best, is a small minority of fans protesting before or after the game, therfore not really having the intended impact and usually something the club involved can sweep under the carpet pretty quickly, and then carry on mugging off fans. Just look at the recent "walkout" by Everton fans. That was embarrassing.
As I said in another thread this week, hopefully someone at BCFC will see that they have got the pricing horribly wrong today, and wake up to this. And if what @Meh has said about concessions is true, well, that's shocking in my opinion and goes to show how out of touch the club, and football in general is with the fans right now.
Today wasn't an organised protest, it was simply the fans turning their back on the club for making a very poor decision, hence the low attendance.
Your right it is embarrassing... for Bristol City FC.
-
I hope that if the attendance is really low then someone at the club wakes up.

Since when has it been appropriate for someone to walk around Ashton Gate proudly wearing Coventry City FC attire? It wasn't even like she was trying to hide the badge yesterday. Actually, flaunting it! Bet she was applauded by the 'new fans' we have attracted since becoming a 'day out' rather than a football club!
City is not like it used to be...
Really.... do you really care that much?
