  1. I can imagine it was a bit heated, lively?
  2. Read a little further mind you, seen it said £10m losses. Well that is very decent despite the fall in TV income.
  3. Hmm. ? 2021-22 not dissimilar loss wise according to Chansiri. Until their accounts for 2021-22 are our we cannot get a handle on it. Think the losses remain £13m or £39m after allowances and Covid expenses.
  4. It's a clear "Don't strictly speaking need to sell" type move. IMO.
  5. According to Fotmob, Scott created 38 chances in the League last season. Many variables of course- age, experience, position, strength and expectations of the side the player is in.
  6. Any chance at all of Scott deciding just one more year here would be best for his development- or ideal for it anyway, useful. Or will it be the case that once a PL and there is time still for some top flight clubs elsewhere to come in too, make formal bids that it's then simply about maximising our financial return?
  7. Could become an option if Scott leaves IMO. Whole dynamic of the window changes then, without I doubt.
  8. They seem too late with this as well in one level. Tbh if as some reports suggest Chelsea make a collective profit of only £10m or so across Mendy, Koulibaly, Ziyech, Aubameyang ie Gross fee minus remaining Book Value that isn't all thst major at that level..but if left unchecked it could become much worse down the line. Although tbh the article actually references the Juventus issue. I guess they'll use that as a starting point.
  9. A few days ago Ceferin was boasting that he wasn't concerned. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/uefa-rush-introduce-emergency-rule-30278985 Looks like they will be looking at these issues, UEFA.
  10. The timing couldn't be better really as last week announced or last week or two, a Sheffield Wednesday Fans Forum and Chansiri will be there. That could be very interesting I expect.
  11. Still early of course but they could be in trouble. On one hand they may have more managerial stability (thought they sacked Morrison early but that's Tan), otoh players such as Kipre, Philogene and in particular Kaba will have been more than useful for them. Well they aren't there now. Even Wickham chipped in with bits, not there now.
  12. There was actually something in the Stroud Times of all places, last night..Wilson news did remind me. Suppose it would figure given Forest Green. https://stroudtimes.com/former-forest-green-defender-set-to-leave-bristol-city/ I digress, if McCrorie is coming in surely the man in possession is Tanner still, McCrorie needs to earn his place. I'm fine with that, two good players pushing each other for Right Back can only be a positive IMO.
  13. Definitely can't think anyone would advocate a huge splurge even if Scott goes, but a few. GK, CB, CM IMO and in whatever position if a fantastic opportunity arose within the suitable financial parameters.
  14. If Scott goes and Knight comes in, still some outstanding questions IMO. 1) Do we believe Bajic and Wiles-Richards to be a necessary next cab off the rank if O'Leary was to be injured or get sent off. Or even competition to drive standards. 2) Any word on Kalas. Staying or going? Maybe one more CB needed I'd the latter. 3) King..does he stay for depth or. Has this been ratified yet. Loans. If we do indeed get the £25m, or near as dammit might we look at one or two high quality loans for these positions, to top off the squad- icing on the cake etc. O'Leary, Bajic, Wiles-Richards Tanner, McCrorie, Atkinson, Vyner, Kalas*, Dickie, Pring, Roberts Scott*, Naismith, James, Williams, King*, Knight? Benarous, Bell, Sykes, Cornick, Mehmeti Conway, Wells, Weimann *=Unclear status. Be it contractual or an upcoming sale. Versatility may well reduce the numbers required by one or two of course.
  15. £1m for Bielik would be likewise a good deal for the other BCFC although he has had some injuries otherwise it would be an excellent deal for them IMO. My thinking is that with certain restrictions eased and certain financial problems somewhat fixed at Derby they'll be looking at a slightly bigger fee than £1.5m. Plus the chance of promotion is £7m uplift in TV money as of now alone, more to come with new TV deal which iirc begins 2024-25?
  16. Shame we didn't see the best of him, but a combination of early injuries and a change of shape plus of course the significant growth of Tanner will have contributed Perhaps League Two to Championship in one leap a step too far- off to one of the better sides in League One. Will there be a fee? Wage saving and profit on disposal all helps. Joined us on a free didn't he.
  17. £25m to begin discussions but West Ham has potential to be a decent move for him. Big but not too big, players like Bowen, Benrahma among others from the Championship are just two who have flourished there in recent times. The market moves quickly, not long ago that they were being linked with numerous other CMs or reportedly had a serious interest in a few.
  18. Paet of me wonders if their fee embargo on Sala is part of a plan "Oh we'd like to spend money but this time prevents". Thereby making themselves look positive while helping to stay just about within FFP. Not appealing too hard, kinda thing.
  19. No, FFP,l was a UEFA invention. Not sure FIFA were ever especially bothered. They occasionally complained about solvency issues and the risk of investors becoming bored and leaving clubs high and dry. China e.g. maybe brought in their own restrictions but there is nothing at a Confederation (AFC- Asian Football Confederation) level let alone globally ie FIFA.
  20. Perhaps yeah. Their fans will be enthusiastic or some of them, they have only 14 players contracted for sure with two more awaiting renewal offers. Their accounts will be instructive. Cardiff I don't get. I still believe they were looking to use the late Sala, compensation or reversal of Impairment as part of their FFP compliance plan and spending plan, that avenue shut for the foreseeable..at best they're right on the line of FFP, or they are set to breach and yet they barely speak of it- fans, local media anyone. The no fee thing is related to Sala and they're reportedly appealing it.
  21. CM 2 vs CM 3, ths latter ie a genuine 3 gives rhst little bit of extra margin for error.
  22. I'm on the fence about the Neves fee, Portugal international midfielder, he is in and around peak years, PL and CL experience- Saudi Arabia as well as the older mega stars need some of those types of players to help build the League. Read that one reason he left Porto relatively cheap in 2p17 as they had an FFP deadline to hit. If Barcelona didn't have domestic Tebas FFP issues perhaps they would have made a large bid anyway.
  23. Was it a false flag of some kind then. The Knight bid thing. By which I mean feed some info to certain individuals or a specific individual that we had bid £1.5m for Knight. Narrow down or eliminate the rest, mole found. Kinda thing. I believe the interest to be genuine however.
