  1. Slarti - you've forgotten the £500 add-on for his immaculate coiffure.....
  2. Brill, never seen that before but exactly my recollection.....
  3. Save where they were narrow and steep and at places like Wigan now't more than a grass bank which in mid-winter was a tough mudder deathtrap.....
  4. Correct. The T-Shirt was one of several (Cole Not Gas, Dziekanowski in the Solidarity lettering) that were produced and sold by us in the old London Supporters Club to subsidise travel costs for those fans who couldn't regularly afford to get to The Gate.
  5. I'm not sure it's that either. When I looked the other week and posted (#52047) I think you may have confused US with Jordanian dollars. I think he's actually worth about half that you've calculated. Wouldn't that be a shame....?
  6. Neither, he's offering terms to Eddie LARGE......
  7. Clearly not. Look at his Twitter media profile and there's a photo a few posts down showing a bunch of empty Thatchers tins implying Maggot and chums are enjoying an 'early session'. What bothers me is they've clearly been purchased from a shopping outlet that uses orange carriers. Now, if only I could recall which supermarket that is...?
  8. So in all the asset and account valuations, purchase negotiations and assurance Sainsburys would have conducted over negotiations to buy 'The Dump' this 'mystery' property was never identified? That no Gashead has ever looked at The House of Tents on Google Maps? Yup, rings true to me.....
  9. As much as I dislike Baadiff from the snippets I've read it could be that, owing to 'underhand' dealings both sides, that Sala's 'transfer' wasn't completed in accordance with UEFA regulation. I think Baadiff are playing the old trick of admitting to their minor indiscretion on the basis the more serious failing Nantes side means the 'transfer' was never formally registered (or ever could be - which of course would never had come to light had Sala lived.) Neither club come out of this with credit.
  10. If memory serves there was one conditional consent The Gas were beholden to deliver by a specific date but failed so to do. When the condition was later met Sainsburys (not The Gas) had the right to appeal the planning refusal but we're not obligated so to do. The Gas attempted to appeal but we're thwarted by Sainsburys who refused to cooperate. Although in the ruling it was implied Sainsburys' change in attitude ran contrary to the spirit of the contract it mattered not as The Gas had timed out and their prevarication was noted.....
  11. Brentford's new stadium, though smallish, looks very impressive from the M4 elevated and high fives to the person who sussed it would fit between the railway tracks. Shows what can be fine when you've a local authority who are supportive (Bristol to note.)
  12. There are sanctions (though ill-defined and rarely exercised) and take care as we weren't holier than thou for a certain period ...
  13. It said 'permanent'... Have you never heard of high winds?
  14. So let me get this right - the company held its AGM on a date The Chairman was unable to attend? In any normal enterprise that would see the shareholders cashing in immediately. It's unsurprising the auditors didn't attend as they wouldn't normally address the shareholders, rather provide info for which the Board reps might respond.
  15. There's a trend developing here. First, Little expects to get paid and now Davis moves from a club with no ground to a club that will shortly have no ground. Shall you tell him or shall I?
  16. Devon White, I'd argue, was immobile....
  17. Lest not forget they're firmly "On The Nichol" these days.... Perhaps that's why Sinclair used to channel his inner Tom Waits....
  18. So how few advanced season ticket sales would it take for them to pull the plug in next season?
  19. From the various business plans (sic) being worked up clearly one light years from reality. In another thread they also came up with this (spend time to think it through as the more you do the more utterly bewildering you'll conclude the mind of a Gashead:) "I don't believe they were lying when they said finance wasn't as issue. I think they believed it wouldn't be, although the necessary investors had not been found."
  20. Doubtless they'll follow Streatham Rovers fine example of entering into an arrangement with 'Herod Eviction Services' or other such quality partner.
  21. I'm tempted to ask this idiot at what point he deems it acceptable to no longer be responible for the errors of one's forefathers; 100 years, 500 years, never? How can they live with themselves? Probably the same as him enduring endless, sleepless nights in consideration of the Anglo - Spanish war of 1585 and conflicts since. No wonder they live in past - as Andre correctly points out that's all the have soon anyway.....
  22. Given that movie has more than any other in cinematic history one might suggest The Gas are a car crash waiting to happen......
  23. I'd expect The Police to do nothing less, however if that is A&S's position I reckon that puts them in a very small minority of forces. With The Met if there's no threat to the occupant and no chance of identifying the culprit (one asks how they might be identified if nobody turns out to investigate or collect forensics,) they provide a crime reference over the phone and you hear no more.
  24. You need lateral thinking my friend. Perchance there's a Film Producer scouting a setting for their new post apocalyptic, zombie romp - Gas would be quids in (albeit intense action Vs In Tents Inaction.) They, let us not forget, do have a training ground. If Marvin Hagler built leg muscles of steel running in diving boots on wet sand, just think how fit their players will be training in daps on The Swamp. Surface might make more for a paddling then passing game, but since when did they ever play the latter?
  25. That might be so in normal business operation but this, remember, is football. If, like us, you've an owner who is prepared to front his own monies at risk they become irrecoverable, then the value of the ground is realitively meaningless. Should Mr Lansdown want his monies back we'd be history, but he's already revealed his stance and the bigger picture on that one. If on the other hand you've an owner without very deep pockets, who is only minded to loan such monies as he's guaranteed to get back, then debts beyond assets is Goodnight Irene. I recall when they were taken over we were told by their gloating fans they were the 6th richest club in the country and were coming for us. What's gone wrong?
