  1. No, no it wasn’t, if you thought it was then perhaps stand up or any form of comedy writing is not for you.
  2. I think it’s not so much lacking quality, it’s more that we don’t have anyone clinical. But a clinical striker is pretty much a rare breed and out of our price range.
  3. Arguably that’s the best 45 mins of football we’ve played this year under either managers. Just got to take the chances.
  4. Dont mind the stripes, one of my favourite Hirerite strips, and reminds me of Carl Shutt.
  5. I think they mostly compliment each other, will be interesting if or how the formation changes when Sykes is fit again.
  6. Sunday league football at Prem wages with **** all tax…what’s the attraction?. Another sport that the Saudis are trying to buy. Its like the Chinese league of a few years ago, only the clubs and owners actually do have the cash.
  7. I think you’ve underplayed Watford’s efforts, other than the pen, we gave them few if any clear cut chances, and they’ve got some very tidy players. Just one of those stalemate games. I think looking back we could question Manning’s lack of adventure to change the system during the game, the changes were the stereotypical like for like swaps that could be scripted, McCrorie for Bell, Conway for Wells, TGH for Williams.
  8. Hamer made at least 2 very good saves for headers that on another day would have gone in. Not the most scintillating game, but we did have our chances.
  9. 2 pretty even sided teams who cancelled each out. Not a bad home point in the scheme of things
  10. Do you actually like any of our right-sided players? That’s just being uber-critical, I think he’s been very solid.
  11. He’s constantly said that his preferred position is RB, but with this formation and the fact they want to play 2 behind the striker means that until Sykes is fit then that’ll be his position. Tanner’s doing nicely as the 3rd CB. I think he’ll improve with minutes.
  12. Loving George Tanner, doing what he does best. Great defender
  13. You’re clearly not liking the fella who is only playing his 3rd of 4th competitive game in over 6 months following a very nasty sounding condition…
  14. O’Learly’s long distance distribution off today. It’s clearly the theme to go long and left for Pring, but constantly over hit
  15. It should not be any different, if the player is not responding to in house efforts then surely not picking that player and / or transfer listing and removing from the first team set up in the way to deal with it. I don’t think it needs a public indirect bollocking through a press interview to do it, to my mind it amplifies the weakness of the manager rather than the player. Fans are not daft, they can second guess why someone is not in favour, especially if their recent performances have been that bad. FGR used to be a fairly well run club, but their managerial appointments of late have all been a bit car crash.
  16. Come to Bexhill on Sea then….dreadful place that James Cleverly could accurately describe without issue.
  17. Jam tomorrow is the only way we can build and grow, our jam tomorrow is the likes of Aldershot, Bournemouth’s jam tomorrow is us.
  18. Quietly impressive, gets a lot of grief about going forward but a very very good defender. Like him on the right of a 3.
  19. To my mind that’s always the sign of a good midfielder, Robbie Savage was much the same, got under your skin if he was on the other side, but you loved him in your midfield. Gets the team going too at times, a tasty tackle and everyone ups it a notch
  20. My thoughts exactly. Play some tidy football with some edge, what’s not to like
  21. He was one of the few WH players that didn’t roll about as if they’d be shot, stabbed, and electrocuted
