  1. Sorry being deliberately obtuse following an earlier post about Alex Scott…. ConwaY an Wells are very much interchangeable
  2. Yep just seen the replay, would have been a really soft one, the sort that gets given at Old Trafford and Man City
  3. Not sure that the club’s PR would even be that bad….it’s too early in the season for that level of cynicism..
  4. By that logic, Naismith and the fella from Aberdeen is off as well. Perhaps the player who has pretty much featured in every pre season match has picked up a knock in the last week, and Pearson is looking at the 46 match season rather than PNE at home……
  5. It’s the pre-match Colombian Coke that seems to both attract and get some of our younger fans going these days….
  6. Fair points, and against the top 6 or 7 I’d agree as their gulf in class should be able to comfortably manage what Luton bring to the table, the rest of the mediocrity that makes up the Prem might be slightly different. Arguably the Prem is now 3 mini leagues, Champions League and Title, European qualification, and not go down. Luton will clearly be in the latter, and if they’re competitive in that mini-league then they’ve got half a chance.
  7. Probably won’t be the 4.30 Sky Super Sunday game….
  8. Thinking more about Prem Teams used to expansive changing rooms, big pitches going to a small compact partisan ground, playing against a group of players who will very much be in their faces. This is why I think the home factor may well keep them up.
  9. I reckon their home form will keep them up, nobody is going to want to go to Kenilworth Rd with the small pitch, their press and physicality. Away they’ll get battered by better footballing teams
  10. Very pleased with what I’m seeing in the club currently, everyone going in the same direction, lots of talented youngsters coming into a good squad. For me a couple of tweaks here and there, and we’ve got the makings of a club that will be pushing toward the next level. I’d agree with Nige about a couple of “thugs” in defence and midfield, and arguably one up top as well. Get the signings in early and a good preseason, and lose the yellow kit and things will be promising next season…
  11. I have fond memories of Glenn Humphries “dealing” with Devon White especially at Twerton.
  12. Not a LB though. Did love Humph though
  13. Just showed it on Robins TV. In some respects his departure could help us reach the next level. I just hope his people choose the right club for his development, and not be a loan cash cow. I saw a suggestion about Brighton, he could do worse.
  14. Aside from a couple of minutes here and there that was pretty comfortable.
  15. Definitely not a good away ground to make your way back from if you’ve made your own way.
  16. We’ve have quite enough King references this weekend thanks
  17. It’s ******* amateur hour with this bloke, started with the ridiculous Vyner booking
