Red Head
Yes, it's FA international clearance. Applies even signing from Scotland. You don't have to do work permits is though. So, has he signed or not? Blackout so far on OS. Can't they just say that he's waiting for clearance...or something?

southy354
It makes sense for them to wait for clearance before announcing it, they would look like idiots if the transfer didn't go through
samo
http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/sport/Brist...il/article.html Well, unless the Post are crusing for a sueing then it looks like he's arrived, as it quotes Johnson.

bh red
Most lazy reporting I have ever seen Simply awful I'd imagine the article was likely written as if it was going in the next edition of the paper, i.e tomorrow.

chowie
All this new transfer stuff seems to be getting a bit of a farce, wonder when the official SMS text "you get the news 1st service" comes out. Plus everything that's going to be on the OS is probably in that article. The EP have changed the time posted to 16:00 Hrs now.

Il be around by the ground and hear the team line ups over the PA system and then check my phone and see the line ups on the main site and then after all that I then get the texts through. Nibor
Well, he's a goalscoring striker then according to GJ. I think that means no contract renewal for Adebola so I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave if a club wants to offer him an 18 month deal. Trundle is obviously very out of favour but the finances probably prevent him leaving. Brooker's definitely gone. Let's hope there's a midfielder coming in to supply all these strikers. Quote from the post.. Johnson views Styvar as a natural replacement for Steve Brooker, who is currently on loan at Doncaster and expected to join the Yorkshire club before the transfer window closes on February 2. miloemily
happy with this signing. I feel this could really help us push towards the playoffs as he is an unknown quantity, time will tell but very excited. come on you reds. by the way i can see us winning tomorrow 2-1 as Adams has lost the plot. samo
And bizzarely in comes an official SMS - he can play tomorrow. Good times. Could be an interesting introduction to English football if he ends up coming off the bench to score a winner against the holders!

Good point & something that wasn't necessarily given to our last New Years recruit. Very pleased to see this positive move by GJ. Hopefully he will also add some players capable of supplying the ammunition to him.
Robbored
Just watched his interview on World. He's very 'appy to be here. Adam Baker's slow and deleiberate delivery of the questions obviously helped...... Bet the girls like the look of him. Bit of a pin up with I reckon. Northern Red
Let's hope he's the business and remember, it may take him a while to settle in a new league and country. Wise words, but you just know that if he takes more than 3 games to score his 1st goal the "experts" will have made their minds up, just look at Maynard. PhatWill
I'm quite excited about Styvar signing. I watched the Villa V Zillina match and although Villa did field a weakened side I thought he looked the business and shouldn't have any trouble performing at C'ship level.
