His job is to find the player, but if that man doesn't exist at the moment, then you cannot sign them. Well, it would be pretty stupid to whinge about the manager not signing a player who doesn't exist. In terms of this season, they didn't exist, mainly due to our league position. Name me a player who would fit in to our team, at CB to a good level, who would want to come to us, who is affordable, who would be happy to go out on loan, and who was available in the short period where he was able to get players in? You forgot to mention 'is also fit', ie a player who is in the first team. D Wilson didn't even get a game did he?
