Lack of Action Man
How many players have MK dons brought in? Quote Link to comment
iamalagerdrinker
I certainly don't think we've played amazing, we've been getting caught on the Counter Attack way to much, I don't think playing 3 at the back is going to work out if the play is this fast as it has been this game. I feel like we're unprepared in areas. Seemed to have played better since going 2-0 down. Quote Link to comment
Selred
That's a penalty. This ref is an arse. Didn't see much contact there myself to be honest. Good run though by Burns. He's impressed today. Quote Link to comment
CotswoldRed
What happened to sky sports live score centre? another nice feature gone.. those people really do get up my gander. pathetic cheap arses. Dander old chap? Quote Link to comment
City_USA
That's a penalty. This ref is an arse. Thought the refs were supposed to be better at this level Quote Link to comment
BUTOR
I know this is stronger opposition etc but we looked more together as a unit in the first game at Sheffield Utd last season than we do today. Team spirit obviously couldn't last forever, but it's a vital component of a successful season. Hopefully the new lads can settle in quick Quote Link to comment
Northern Red
Everyone has a bad day at the office now and again... after 2 months off, it'll take time to get back into the swing of things. Priorities before transfer window closes are cover for Bryan and a GK to make Frankie earn his money... Central midfielder for me. Quote Link to comment
downendcity
MK Dons are playing arguably the weakest side in the division. If you read some of the twaddle on here, they are in fact playing the second weakest side in the division 3 Quote Link to comment
Aizoon
That's it. I've torn up my season ticket and fed it to the cat Now the cat has been sick Will the scanners accept the remnants? 1 Quote Link to comment
Nogbad the Bad
I have a feeling cotts interview may be slightly cringeworthy tonight. I sincerely hopes he admits they were beaten by the better team. If I was him I'd be hard pressed not to mention my displeasure at the ref allowing Wednesday players to batter 3 of my team in the first half. I'm sure he'll resist the temptation though. Mickey Bells left foot
burns was fouled in the lead up but just fell over as the ball ran away i think. Quote Link to comment
BristolBEAT
It's going to be a very very long week for me. One team I can't lose to due to partner and family is SWFC. This hurts. Quote Link to comment
GrahamC
I know this is stronger opposition etc but we looked more together as a unit in the first game at Sheffield Utd last season than we do today. You're right. It is stronger opposition. Those who have posted this summer about the gap "not being great" are completely deluded. The wake up call here is that every point at this level needs to be won and our summer recruitment (which virtually started on Thursday) has left us behind the rest. 1 Quote Link to comment
JoeAman08
No, it's fine you told me. We can go into this with a squad of about 12, surely? I may not be understanding you correctly but our squad is bigger than 12. Though I didn't mean we need more in terms of transfer(which we do but wasn't my point). I mean the lads need to dig a bit deeper into their abilities for this league. I think they're capable. It's most of their first games in this league. I think this will serve as a wake up to them all. And I'm very sure we will be much sharper next weekend on set pieces and counters. I saw I think Bradford score 2 set prices against us in a match last season. Can't recall many after. Also recall the other Sheffield counter us at the gate to the tune of 3-1. Don't recall many more after that. Cotts will straighten them out on that front. Quote Link to comment

Wanderingred
I wonder what the forums of the other seven championship teams who lost today are like? I'm guessing not as suicidal as this one. Quote Link to comment
Phileas Fogg
Sheff Weds have been great today, especially Hunt, McGugan and particularly Wallace. That big striker Nihiu (sp?) was problematic too. Work to do, but not as much of a disaster as implied by this thread! Couple more additions needed still Quote Link to comment
Frenchay Red
Watching on the Web stream it looks like all our new players will need a few games to gel and show what they can add to the team. On the other hand Burns has played well. Quote Link to comment
bristolcitysweden
Burns our best player Quote Link to comment

BRISTOL86
Quality of delivery has been telling today. Both their goals came from pin point deliveries and we've consistently wasted the ball on the very rare occasion we've got in behind. Quote Link to comment
Spike
We have not been that bad, just could not get Wilbs/ Kodger into the game, in hindsight would have been better with one up front and extra man in midfield I think. I disagree completely, they've got through the defence over and over again which is crazy when our defence has probably been the only decent performers today. Pack and Smith have not had any real impact on the game at all and instead we've resorted to playing long diagonal passes that for the most part saw us lose possession. Wilbs and Kodjia seemed to get little to no supply and then Kodjia got take off when out of him and Wilbs he looked the only one likely to create something from nothing. Freeman got little to no penetration through Wednesdays defence either so our three central midfielders were essentially just worked out of the game. I can't decide if it's the formation or the difference in quality but one thing is certain, we hoofed far too much for the first 60 minutes and after going 2-0 down we started actually passing the ball short and the players were showing for the ball. If Cotterill thinks we can just do what we did last season in the Championship I'm a little worried as the quality in this league is much much higher and we won't get results by playing long diagonal passes over and over. BRISTOL86
Wow should have been number 3 (which in reality should have been number 4 or 5) Quote Link to comment
Selred
Build our confidence up again on Tuesday against Luton and then come back stronger against Brentford. Always believe. 1 Quote Link to comment
