northsomersetred Posted November 26, 2015 Report Share Posted November 26, 2015 Well 24yrs ago today i saw my first live NFL game, Detroit v Bears in the old Silverdome. Embarrassingly enough i don't really remember much about the late 3rd and 4th quarter. I was invited into a corporate box through a relative, free food and booze and to have a 'Limey' who knew a lot about football in the box was a bit of culture shock!! Oh and the best thing, the box was next to the Ford family's box. Seeing Barry Sanders in the flesh was something else as well. It was also the first game after 'Thumbs Up' Mike Utley was injured and paralyzed from the chest down. Just about to start the Steelers v Seahawks, i was at SB40 to see them both then, that was my second SB, my first was SB30. Are Cleveland doomed to forever waddle in a foul smelling cesspit of their own making? I can't help but have a soft spot for them, but their fans must have had a gutsful by now!
