Lansdown just as culpable for what is to come

The really sad thing is we face a very, very real prospect of falling into the drop zone before SL is forced to act. We then will like as not be unable to get anyone as good as we might have done had we acted now, the new man will have an utter baptism of fire with some exceptionally tough games and I wouldn't be surprised if we went down in 24th place.

His cultists will still be creaming when we sail into National League South.

I have answered this question in many different ways a number of times

If SL stays, and there is little we can do about that at least in the short term, I would like a full consultant audit of club's management.

Some issues to be addressed would include:-

1 composition of The Board

2 relationship between owner and Board

3 Is the BS model (a) delivering for football club and (b) is there a better alternative

4 use of specialist consultants over issues such as match day prices, appointment of all coaching staff including the manager

5 a look at the legal nature of the contracts issued by the club, plus the question of extensions to existing contracts, to all employees

6 most importantly, an evaluation of the owner's actions and decisions

7 an analysis as to why the club has failed to achieve its aims over a period of decades

8 a look at how fans can be brought into the heart of the club's decision making

There are many other issues but these would provide a starting point.

Finally, the final report to be made public and discussed around the city in a series of open meetings

Many reasoned points @Ivorguy but what you miss is that as a private company the board have no requirements to address any of those points, all they need is to comply with statutory reporting (Annual Accounts, Companies House notifications etc).

I get the direction of your inquiry, it's what anyone who would have legitimate concerns would ask of any business; the dichotomy of the arguement however is that those concerns lie between it being a community interest and a going business concern.

You have an interest as a community member but no interest in the business.

The FA have been avoiding such an inquiry from successive Governments for years - and if they cannot pin them down then what hope do we have in pressing SL for such?

This isn't meant to sound as blunt as it does but in reality Bristol Sport / Bristol City FC have absolutely nothing to answer for to you, I or anyone else for that matter.

Everyone turning against Lansdown now then because he doesn't agree with their opinions? Very sad.

You're as embarrassing as they come. Not only what you say but the fact you've got a picture of our rivals manager, who has actually been hugely successful.

Now, how do I mute this ***** on a phone?

I totally agree with all you say, of course.

But what I have said  in answer to what I have been asked is what I believe any decently run organisation, which is palpably failing, should do not what they will do!

but its like getting a toy at Christmas and finding no batteries in It, the stadiums great but without players who can take us forward what use is it

As a parent I always assure batteries are on the Christmas shopping list.

We just need to make sure someone at Ag buys the batteries (I hope and believe MA to be this person)

I know people will accuse me of being short sighted and I can understand their point, but sometimes I feel I would swap the new ground and everything else for a team I could be really proud of

I wouldn't. We now have foundations in place to kick on from this.

Oh come on lighten up, are things really that bad to you that you can't see the funny side of a picture?

SL is either completely deluded or LJ has a tape of him in an uncompromising situation - allegedly.

When asked if pathway for the home bred players had been temporarily blocked for the incoming experienced new signings he said no.

Burns sold to Fleetwood...says otherwise.

Also the coaching set up Lee has is superb- Holden has ruined team morale since his arrival as undermined the highly rated Pembo - As seen by us & The Board.

More holes in his rationale than a Swiss cheese.

No because he was talking out of his arse when he said a majority of BCFC fans supported LJ, that is a lie.

neither you or I know if this true you are basing it on a very small forum vote and I know for a fact I could not be arsed to vote so if every other member of the forum had the same opinion  LJ has the majority backing.

The majority are completely AGAINST LJ....

Genuine question, how do you know the majority of fans are 'completely against LJ' ?

Only a tiny tiny tiny percentage of our fan base post on this forum so you can't be basing your views on the opinions of that minority....so how do you know?

We took over 40k to Wembley, so it could be argued that figure represents our current fan base (roughly) and only about half of them turn up to home games, so how do you know all their views?

Mate, a sample of 600 people is far more than you get for a political poll and as I said earlier yes there have been some skewed results when the polls are close but this poll is over 88% against but hey i'm sure you are correct and the majority still believe LJ to be the saviour, I mean who wouldn't?.
