Robbored
City concede two really soft goals again. Defenders not defending by tracking or blocking their man. Corners and set plays are Citys Achilles heel. As a former CB himself he must be doing his head in witnessing inept defending again tonight.………….. He’ll probably take the blame post match but what can any manager do when your players aren’t doing their jobs?……… 9

DT The Optimist
NP was a strong uncompromising defender. This defence is not in his image. He must have plans re this for next season…

Wiltshire robin
I think he’ll walk at the end of the season . What’s he realistically gonna achieve here with the financial restraints from the club being ran so poorly for years . I think anyone who takes the managers job under the current ownership is set up to fail. 2 3

That what he is paid good money for. If he cannot do it then move on.
Finley_Smith10
I don’t think we’ll get anyone better or I’m not Pearson out atm but 30 defeats in 54 games is an absolute joke

BCFCGav
I’m Pearson in still. Last season and this was about survival and we’ve done it, with (patchy) improvement on the Holden era. Attack is vastly improved, defence is of course still a big problem, but we’re safe. It also isn’t feasible to pay up the remaining two years of his deal in our current financial state.

Wealwayseatcheese
No better than LJ or DH . 15 months in and a crock of shat. Don’t give me transfer window this and that . No new manager bounce, more of a thud . My opinion and entitled to It. After all the clamouring for NP I feel massively massively underwhelmed. 8 1

Denbury Red
Don’t forget this is a three year plan …. Year One - Survive - (Hopefully) Year Two - improve ???? Year Three - ………..
ashton_fan
I'd give Nige another transfer window, but if no improvement by November/December then we have to look elsewhere. If we have a points deduction (6?) next season then if we do the same as this year we'll be down. 1

TinMan's left peg
Nigel’s post match interview “we don’t perform well, that’s our Achilles heal”. Ah yes, if it wasn’t for our 1 weak point of being really shit we’d be really good. 2

Superjack
I have to admit that I am struggling to see signs of things working out in the long run under Pearson, and that really ****ing annoys me, not least due to certain posters on here who have been waiting for him to fail since day one. I don't even think it's necessarily his fault. There has been something fundamentally wrong with this club for the entirety of this century so far.
