I know this will sound like a broken record but he hasn't been left with the best of tools has he. If he didn't have as bad financial restrictions we would have been able to improve the squad. Its that simple.

Surely we aren’t the only club in this situation though?

Im afraid I agree. Everything feels off at the moment. Despite two good away points on paper, we still can't win. Together with not getting the right decisions and potentially losing our best talents, it doesn't bode well.

Most of the teams around us have brought more than one player in while we wait for the best deal. We need players in NOW.

Got to sell or remove from the wage bill to buy, and at the same time get a fair price for those being sold. Therein lies the problem

Our decision making has not improved under Pearson. I don’t want to aimlessly lump it no, but also when needed it has too (and we’d of not of made the mistakes for the goals). Don’t play players who make mistakes like that / or play a more direct style if you haven’t got the personal to play out from the back.

Play a more direct style and then moan like **** when he picks Chris Martin?

As for playing players who make daft mistakes everyone was up in arms when one of those two players was left out the other week.

You can’t have it all ways unfortunately.

Nearly every single club bar the relegated ones are under the exact same conditions

Most football fans are stuck in the 1990s when it comes to tactics. Getting it forward at all costs is now a bygone era. You barely see any teams play that way anymore, even in League 2. Football has evolved from this dinosaur style tactics for the betterment of the game.

Leeds?

I get your point but he is ultimately responsible for keeping players motivated, focused and fired up. I'm not watching but doesn't sound like the team are ticking those boxes and a poor mindset can lead to individual errors. Look at how many more individual errors Liverpool make nowadays. Ultimately the responsibility has to lie with Klopp.

Blimey

If direct football gets us results then I’ll take it. We are hardly playing free flowing glamorous football right now.

Why isn’t Pearson trying a new formation. People were up in arms because NP was playing a striker and centre mid as part of a back 5, with Atkinson not getting a look in.
I believe the issue is becoming tactical as much as it’s personnel.

Seen less experienced managers do a lot better with squads similar/worse than ours. There’s literally been no improvement since he’s been here. If anything the defending is worse. I could back him more if I could see some sort of style or improvement but we’ve got absolutely nothing about us. It’s like we just make it up as we go along. Wouldn’t trust Nige to rebuild this squad.

Win or lose, they are exciting to watch. Miles away from this shower of shite.

My point wasn't alluding to a side like Leeds though. It was about 'Getting it forward' merchants from the back which is basically them saying hoof it up the pitch. Basically Stoke under Pulis.

Leeds are nothing like that

We do have tactical issues, the goal we conceded isn’t one of them though.

Do we lower our asking price slightly to get deals over the line?

I guess there are all sorts of ways of constructing the arrangement to get the market value of the player, but I guess a higher up front element will allow more room for manoeuvre in FFP, but given the meltdown by some over the alleged Towler fee, I can’t see City parting with Scott for £6m for example
