One of the reasons my interest in attending is waning. The atmosphere is like a morgue and whether its claps in the 55th 70th 78th min or announcements throughout half time, death is being rammed down our throats.

It's not the rubbish entertainment at half time that bothers me, it's the rubbish we serve up for the 45 mins before and after that is the concern.

At least we showed a bit of fighting spirit for the last 15 mins, where was it for the first 75 minutes?

As a boy I remember the half time scores elsewhere were on a board marked A to Z and you had to check your programme to see which game related to which letter. Or did I imagine that...? Very exciting.

Most clubs are terrible at matchday presentation as a whole and we're certainly bad at that among other things

Weird because it all seems quite an easy thing to fix imo

Obviously we all know the sound systems are awful so that doesn't help but the massive screens are hardly used in an effective way

Downsy and I'd assume some others running the show clearly aren't football fans

Presumably one of the main reasons they don't do anything is they want fans back in the concourse buying food and drinks anyway. Still sad though

One of the reasons we used to call it Eastville for Entertainment.

That system was a forerunner of my later invention the personal computer.

2nd half today was good, Watford at home was good.

I was replying to the earlier post and their thoughts. However it has to become more intimidating. Pearson himself said for years teams like coming here because it’s all a bit nice. No home end and giving the away the end behind the goal to visitors has been a problem for years and pretty much the only time LJ said anything right/pointed at hierarchy. It’s going to be small margins now and we need as a club to remember that.

Proximity of livelier home fans to away fans definitely helps. Saw quite a few standing in Upper E34/Dolman A. Standing fans more likely to sing arguably.

I think that’s true. However home fans behind the goal is a tradition that we unilaterally did away with. The idea that we are crap at home for long periods is in my opinion partially due to this. 
 

Im an old man now. But the upside is I can remember times in the 60s and 70s that it was intimidating to come here and the crowd would attempt to metaphorically try and suck the ball toward the goal and get right under the goal keepers skin at dead balls. Those days are long gone. We are a way to welcoming across the club and have been for 40 years.
