Yep. That 15 minutes after half time where we were chasing shadows ultimately did for us in the end, even though we didn't concede during it and then had a decent spell, it meant we were spent with 10-15 left.

Most, if not all their team were in the world cup finals.

Puts in perspective what we've been up against and how well we've played. We've certainly not been disgraced and the late goals give a scoreline that doesn't reflect our effort.

 

I forgot to mention that we were also up against a prem friendly ref. As others have said had the challenge on Sykes been at the other end odds on it would have been a penalty.
