Guardiola questioning Pearson on how much an Alex Scott is going to cost him. Great performance considering who we played. Maybe just we'll have a ride into the play-offs. COYR.

Rather he went to Man City, partly to relieve them of an exceptionally large amount of Arab cash, and partly as he’ll get a proper education from Pep.

As others said before the game, losing 3-0 felt like the limit to feeling ok about going out. A shame we didn't get a goal to cheer, we did create chances against a club team with a better line up than most teams at the world cup finals.

Yes I don’t think we deserved a 3-0, Id have loved to hear the crowd if a we’d have got one. Foden has just said as much

A shame we couldn’t keep the score down to 1 or 2. Most of the nation will look at the score line and assume it was a comfortable evening for Man City when that was far from the case. If Bell connected to that cross……

Foden has just said it was not a 3-0 game

Meanwhile over on slagchat, they’re creaming themselves about what a field day one of their players would have against our defence.*

*they appear to have conveniently forgotten that their team had scored 2 in 7 prior to their Oxford game.

They can only dream of being in a match like we were just in

Not even fit to lace our players boots

Great performance. 3-0 flatters them and only a few moments of real class the difference.

Can be proud of all of them. Sam Bell sprinting 40 yards in the 92nd minute to close Enderson down - what a great effort.

Thought Sykes was excellent

Don’t think it flattered them at all. It was a stroll in the park for them, they could’ve upped it at any time. We did well but the gulf was huge.

I forgot to mention that we were also up against a prem friendly ref. As others have said had the challenge on Sykes been at the other end odds on it would have been a penalty.

Similar challenge just after outside the area and he gave them a free kick!

As for the foul just outside their area in the second half and ref just played on!

Remember this above. The rivalry with Rovers is just a good laugh these days, our team, stadium and support is on a different level. If ManC played Rovers they would tear them apart with the U18s. I am not even going to look at Gaschat.

We need to look up not down, learn from tonight. The movement off the ball by ManC was brilliant and Foden was class. Proud of our club to compete until so late in the game.

Can’t help but feel a little flat after that- yeah they are class, the movement, always someone available for the ball, but don’t think they ever really got out of 1st gear.

Early goal didn’t help and settled them but felt we showed far too much respect  and didn’t do ourselves justice.

But great run and hopefully league firm continues

the gulf is huge! That’s the point.

So comfortable for them, that Pep felt the need to bring on the most expensive playmaker in British football history to try and seal it, because up until then, we were only a final bit of quality away from really testing them.

Foden, the MOM, said it wasn’t a 3-0 game. I’ll go with his slightly more valuable opinion than yours
