I'd say Vyner has too but the real issue is both of them have had to do the most. You look at the stats and the expected goals are in Prestons favour, you look at the shots and it's the same story, you look at the shot statistics and they've had the better and then you look at the attacking momentum and it's practically all Preston apart from the earlier part of the first half where we were in our own half mostly.

I agree that it's a fair result but the most frustrating part is that they largely had the better of the game, that's not what you want at home to Preston.

Good defending generally, Dickie looked good on the ball, Vyner with some great reading of the game. Frustrating to watch us win it back and then hoof it back up, going forward we struggle to make any combination of decent passes.

We were poor today no two ways about it. Very typical Bristol City, fill the ground and put that performance in.

1-1 FT, fair result tbh.

Vyner & Dickie our best two players which tells you lots.

Ball retention when in possession was really poor.

James looks a yard slower that last season, and he wasn't sprightly then!  Really missed Scott today, was hoping Knight would step up but he didn't do that great either.

Only first game but can anyone explain how the table positions are worked out for teams on equal points/goal difference?

Does an away win/draw get higher placement that home win/draw?

Didn't see much from Knight? We had no control in the midfield but fortunately our 4 defenders played well the equaliser aside , which was very bad from Tanner and the two CBs

Looked 1/3 of the energy from last season. Disjointed and weak, which surprised me .

I think we're gonna be real frugal with any money from Scott sale. Can't see anything more than a couple of million being spent.

Interesting to see their fans predictions, loads going for Mehmeti first goal scorer, I can see him getting a few this season though he may have to do it coming from the bench on Saturday.

I’m optimistic for the season but as this is Bristol City I’ve a feeling we’ll be brought down to earth a bit with a slightly disappointing 1-1 draw, Conway.

Goals scored, them our best card...alphabetical order (just for display, technically ‘equal’).

No. But away goals scored is a factor.

So frustrating to watch, as always. Preston tire and just hoofing the ball straight back to them every time.

Nothing improved since last season. Just cannot keep possession under pressure. No real goal threat. More of the same from NP, a long hard season.
