If there is no chance of a permanent deal (including loan + future transfer), I would rather us stick to our current policy and not repeating previous mistakes for short-term fixes. Look at Szmodics- doing alright at Blackburn now, was decent enough at Peterborough to get into the radar of Blackburn. I suspect he does have a future at the club and this is about him getting games, which he probably wouldn’t get this season with his parent club. And are obviously wanted by other Championship clubs eg Azaz and Twine.When we get a comparatively unknown talent at a good price eg Szmodics. We never play him and sell him off. And now he is the Championship leading scorer when have such a weak attack. He’s not played as a number 10 that much since Newport on loan. It’s one of the reasons I’ve been a bit luke warm about him, because I’d want to sign his as a no10, but I think if we did sign him we’d sign his as a Left Forward.
