No, a bit more mixed in the way they play, more possession-based, but they do like to press like Barnsley did. Their better form has in-part coincided with Jake Livermore coming back into the side, many had thought he was finished. He is giving the front 5 freedom, whilst screening Porteous and Hoedt, who I don’t think are top drawer. I’m hoping that Knight can pester Livermore into fouls, and Conway can wind-up Porteous, who is prone to rash tackles, plus likes to get involved with anyone who likes an argument! Old Ben “Crisp-Packet-Hands” Hamer is in goal, so that ought to give us encouragement, unless Bachmann comes back after suspension. I do like Ken Sema on the left. Lovely left foot, physical with it too. Bayo up top is unpredictable but can stretch us with his runs and isn’t bad in the air either. I think tomorrow is a game where we if we have made progress or not. 1 2 1 Quote Link to comment
Mr Popodopolous
A point wouldn't be too bad tomorrow in itself, but possibly as with the last 2 games, dropping points a bit cheaply in the prior games has put some pressure in this one. Quote Link to comment

Very good summary there although Hamer has done well in the 4/5 games he has played in but guess like most at this level could have a shocker . The 2 strikers who came on against Blackburn scored so might be a change there . Bayo did get 2 the week before though . The guy who scored our first goal ( Rajovic ) is actually a pretty rubbish footballer generally but has got 8 goals somehow! Fans have felt a bit for Healey - doesn't seem to get the game time many think he deserves. We have played without a natural right back but hopefully Andrews will start tomorrow. 1 Quote Link to comment

Great place for fun. Spent my first 30yrs in Bristol and yes remember the joke shop, as for Watford big bustling side who we dont tend to do to well against, been a few times way back, 60-70`s seem to remember their home end being called The Hornets Nest, a couple of away wins I believe 0-2, 0-3 will do for a repeat today; seem also to remember a few City being "picked off" on way back to coaches who parked a fair walk away, prob all changed now like everything else. Will be doing well to bring any points back MOL will need to be at his best and could do with Wells starting to give them hassle. Edited December 26, 2023 by mason Quote Link to comment
