Duane Eddy, aged 86

My first guitar hero back in the 50's (I was about 7-8 when I first heard him and made me pick up my tennis racket 😄)  , him and the Rebels. RIP Duane........... The Twang's the Thang !

One of the best ever instrumentals

And Johnnie Walker's theme tune for his Radio 1 weekday slot back in the 70s.

Richard Tandy of ELO, he’s the bloke who played the piano riff on Evil Woman, they were never cool but sold an incredible number of albums in the 70s.

He seemed to have been around for ever. Many will remember him as Yosser Hughes in Boys from the Blackstuff and as King Theoden in Lord of the rings.

I had no idea that was almost 80.
