  2. What an absolute cock the bloke is. Sooner he is out the door of this football club never to return the better.
  3. We have a hierarchy! We must have one of the poorest 'non' structured boards, with very weak characters having vague undefined roles in the league. You're so right DR. Manning or anyone will have to be super top managers to overcome the deficiencies of those running the club
  4. I expect it will be the first game they look for when the fixtures come out. It will be akin to an away game at Villa Park for the Bluenoses when they visit the white hot cauldron of noise that is the mem.
  5. there isn`t. It`s that type of rough industrial town that every county has a couple of that make up for all the nice ones. Think Bridgwater or Yeovil in Somerset, Tiverton or Newton Abbot in Devon or Bodmin and Camborne/Redruth in Cornwall.
  6. I think Sam Barrott from Yorkshire has got it in for us, prior to the Stoke and Norwich games, we suffered three defeats this season when he reffed us. Not had time to have a look at those three games,Brum Preston and QPR. Yes, the linesman flags, or does not, flag the off sides. I presume that the four officials have a con-flab about the how a game will be reffed, and MAYBE certain refs give ADVICE on how THEY want to see the game reffed. Just a thought.

  8. Was more referring to this and the Emojis used. I’d expect it from the likes of Chippenham Red, but disappointed to see other confused and laughing emojis instead of supportive ones.
  9. Tony Dinning, not that he didn't do well on loan but because it earnt him a contract here.
  10. Wow. Your spelling of his name is correct and, as you suggested, he did indeed join the Bee Gees - in 1973! He was their drummer during their heyday. With thanks and acknowledgment to WIKI.
  11. Actually, I didn’t, but then, I am far away and out of touch. Please don’t tell me he is a former player. 1, 2. 3 Gibbo .
  12. The problem with that model / approach is you need top, top, top recruitment and a manager with a football identity to recruit towards. We didn’t have that. Luton did. They exploited a market of undervalued players that fitted their style of football. You could see clubs like City having a snobbish attitude to buying someone like Elijah Adebayo for example. Also, assuming you churn those players regularly, you only make a profit against their book value. That becomes harder the more better established players you buy. No disrespect to players like Weimann or Hunt, especially Weimann, but you were unlikely to ever get the money back on them. Their fees were sunk. you also need a steady stream of Academy players too, because they are pure profit. You can’t do it all on “buy then sell”. Someone like SL should know that “having your eggs in one basket” (one method) is poor investment advice. Squad building is an art. Very few get it right, very few get the time to get it right.

  14. If he transferred from Bristol Rovers then his sister might be his wife, but surely that isn't his mum.
  15. On paper, you’d think Wilson will win comfortably based on performances to date and experience something like 18-8 or so maybe…
  16. During that era we had some competent individuals- we did. We had a questionable manager, hierarchy and ability to blend them together. I do think NP would pushed on the squad between say 2017-2020 than Lee Johnson did. In the League certainly. Man management and fitness at times were also suspect, talking in general not just some individuals.
  17. Dull sprint race and qualifying for Miami
  18. jonboy probs got his kids designers writing 'the life of brian 2' as we speak. in the shop at christmas with a tinselled splat robin on the cover
  19. I think I remember “ If Eric Bristow’s mothers watching this while making the chips, there’ll be chip fat w-all ooover the formica” Did know someone (friends dad) at Cambridge with him. Said he just went to the pub and played darts all the time
  20. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/city-women-news/listen-to-city-women-fans-forum/ Had a look again at this article & the full photo gallery is at the very bottom, which I didn't notice before...
  21. Thanks - you’ve really cheered me up with that accurate summary
  22. My wife has been nagging me for most of the season to report the dangerous fact that some of the above toilet seats are not safe ie have become loose and slip sideways. Now that the season has ended it would be a good time to highlight this defect to Maintenance cheers Knache - red
  23. Whose betting on an Essex objection and a points deduction
  24. I did that just as Gary Johnson nearly did an Ipswich with us . Still went , not so often and only got a Season Ticket again 2016 for various reasons. I reckon if I didn't get one we would be European Champions in a couple of years
  25. quite a few of the English lads playing themselves into a bit of form in the IPL, so hope you're right.
