Totally agree, it’s petty and quite pathetic.

I can see why Villa Park is on the list due to its capacity and a ground being needed in the Midlands, but when I went there to watch City a few years ago the facilities in the away end’s top tier were abysmal.

Yes I have, it’s been great. I was concerned about getting dragged into a relegation battle for a while, but we have had some good games and got some good results. I’ve also really liked the way many of our young players have been given a chance and cemented their place in the first team squad.

County for me. It must be one of the away grounds I’ve been to the most to watch City, including one highly entertaining 4-4 draw. It used to have a decent pub near the away end turnstiles. They’ve been getting good crowds as well.

Very happy with the win today, and it’s great that Mehmeti got his first goal. I’m pleased that Vyner got on the scoresheet too - fully deserved after the season he’s had. Coming back from behind shows the character that is being built in the squad. My Good Friday drinks will taste even better tonight.

I remember it well. It was a drab game and I recall it didn’t have the same magical allure for me as a trip to Wembley. But it’s always good to win a trophy.

I reckon Southampton will struggle to stay up. Leicester’s sacking of Rodgers is a massive roll of the dice that could backfire. And I’d like to see Everton finish in the bottom three. It would be good to play them in the league.

The pitch was in a worse state than I’ve seen at AG in a long time…….but all things considered (the amount of rain recently and rugby the night before) it held up well.

I thought Cornick played well yesterday. He put himself about and was involved - exactly what’s needed from subs.

Definitely a game we should have one, so very frustrating. We were sloppy in the attacking third and at 1-0 always looked susceptible to their strength in the air. But with a makeshift line-up we were never going to be at our best I didn’t see what was wrong with Wells’ goal, but I haven’t seen the highlights yet.

I thought Gordon Owen was going to score that penalty at Wembley. I was underwhelmed by the appointment of Cotts - I believed at the time his teams played a dour brand of football, without really having anything to base this on. That title winning tea m he built was a joy to watch. More recently, when England were 1-0 up against Italy in the Euros final I thought we were going to win.

Port Vale can be added to that list too. Always bitterly cold.
