You realise all those people have ‘other’ interests, don’t you.
They’ve been put into these senior positions by the government.
They have financial interests in pharma companies. Well, they used to work for them didn’t they.
No one involved in any of this is ‘clean’.

Well you have written some tosh on this subject but this takes the biscuit!

Some bloody conspiracy theory that is!

I cannot agree with ANY of this, I'm sorry but you must be a complete tool!

Perhaps if you, like me, had a loved one (daughter) who spent time on a covid ward trying to help people, doing your upmost to help them only to watch them die and then having to ring their relatives time and time and time again you might have a different view.

GET THE JAB AND WEAR A ******* MASK!!!!

The virus doesn't choose to be different from country to country. We are all humans. It affects us the same way. The ' experts' do agree it's mild.

Seriously this is not about health and spreading anymore.

The government listen to the experts, then put in rules that don't make any sense.

    It's totally symbolic.

You've got world leaders mixing, putting on masks for the cameras, then taking them off when meeting others, shaking hands and hugging.

Why anyone else can't see this amazes me.

These Governments, world leaders listen to the experts and scientists first hand. They get all the info. Yet they don't abide by the rules they set for us.

As human beings, you would do as advised by the Scientists. You wouldn't ignore it. So why are the Government going about their lives like there is nothing to worry about...they aren't in fear of getting ill. What do they know that we don't. They would comply whole heartedly if otherwise for their own health.

Sorry, your mixing arguments here. Of course the government should be hammered for doing what they do if it isn't within the rules set by them!

Does that mean that you would also break those rules which may increase the chances of getting ill or put others at risk of getting ill?

So two wrongs do make a right?

The virus surely might well be easier to catch in the winter. I have no idea which season SA is in, but it may be different to ours. Lots of European countries are putting in place tighter restrictions than us, are they all wrong too?

The Scientist in South Africa who warned about the mutation, said it's mild. Others have followed. Even on the mainstream news this morning, the _ expert' said there has been no hospitalisation due to the variant.

We are having to abide by rules that just take the piss. Masks in cinemas, theatre etc, yet take them off to sing your head off at church  Go to pub, restaurant or gym...no masks.

If this was about not spreading it then those rules wouldn't apply. It's a joke.

I think the experts from this country should decide how this mutation affects us.

Once and if they do agree its mild then restrictions can be relaxed.

If they conclude it's similar or worse then they can be tightened.

As for Boris, the buffoon should never have been anywhere near number 10. Whose fault is that? Anyone who voted for Jeremy bloody Corbyn as Labour leader who was unelectable, but thats a different debate!

Hospitals aren't being overrun. This variant has very mild symptoms. You get it and recover at home.

The people vulnerable are those with underlying health issues like diabetes. They'd be hospitalised like most years if they caught the flu.

There is no reason to bring in more restrictions.

Two years now...new mutations, new boosters, it just goes on and on.

Are you willing to go through the rest of your life living this way? Because it's not going away...ever. It will mutate every year, just like the flu. There will be new vaccines every year, just like flu.

Politicians lie to us everyday...funnily we are outraged the most because of a few parties. We should be outraged everyday at their lies.

Oddly we know they lie, manipulate media, pay people etc etc. It's been the way of Governments for ever.

Yet the population believe every word coming out of their mouths on this issue. Without question..just follow.

How divided we all have become.

No, I don't listen to politicians but I do listen to scientists and other health experts.

Boris, definitely not. Chris Witty, Patrick Valance, Jenny Harries, Jonathan Van Tam etc, absolutely yes!

There is a difference, or do you think they say what they are told to say?

    Lost huh?
So, did you get your jabs because you wanted to go on holiday. You work overseas occasionally as well i understand. Did you get your jabs so you could fly off to your work meetings?
Did you get your jabs because you were actually afraid of covid?
Or did you get it to “protect others”.
Be honest. Because everyone I know under 70, 100% did not do it for the last reason, so I’m sure you are no different.

Well got mine including booster so as not to get covid and end up in hospital.

We are not going abroad and I don't work now and am under 70.

Seems a simple decision to be honest

Joey’s got a real problem here. In his prepared statement he denied physical contact. We now have a witness saying it definitely happened, therefore he can’t really go back and claim it was accidental.

I think he’s in real trouble here.

Best thing I've read on here tonight ?

Derby might be at the bottom but are a decent side. this is a tough game. one i think Pearson needs to win.

You think he "needs" to win?

    This is soooo true!

Who could ever forget the chant “Dicks Out” and some did!

? Those were the days eh?

Seriously though, the late great Harry Dolman kept his nerve when most supporters lost theirs. SL takes very little stick compared to what Harry had to put up with, the wonderful keyboard warriors we have on here were obviously not around then. It was direct, all four sides of the ground chanting, mainly negative and aimed at the manager and directors box.

If SL has any sense he won't read the shite posted on here, some by people who never or rarely go to games and others with an agenda only they understand.

If I could have a quick chat with SL, I would remind him of those past times under Harry and suggest he takes a lesson from History.

    Keep calm and carry on...

I could be wrong, but one thing I find rather unique about our situation (in my 30 years as a supporter) is I dont ever remember us being so shit and avoding relegation (except where we've changed manager and been saved)

At least in the past when we've been shit it hasnt tended to last too long. We have one or two bad seasons, go down, make big changes and come back up.

We've never been this consistently shit for this long in the last 30 years, and I think we're going to survive this season because of Derby and 2 teams being even shitter than us!

This is probably where someone corrects me

Well in my 55+ years I certainly do. The manager? Alan Dicks who just survived annually for many years.

He eventually got a team together based around young players who got us promoted to the top flight.

Lesson for us all there which some of us learned many years ago....

As Jonesey would say "DON'T PANIC"

Personally I would rather he did name the players. So would the squad I would think.

Not keen on the "mystery" bad egg(s) approach, not sure how that nurtures a good, positive team spirit.

Could be difficult to gain respect in that scenario.

    IMO,

    I'm sure they all know.

It's difficult enough moving players on without advertising the fact they have no fight in them.

Makes it more difficult for the player you want to move, move.

I despair - we lose a game and all the negativity starts over again……anyone heard of “Rome wasn’t built in a day”? That’s where BCFC is right now.

Unless we look like we are going down, SL will quite rightly stick with Nige……as others have said, we need to get rid of those who aren’t good enough/don’t want to be here, allowing Nige to bring in his own players before we truly judge him.

I for one, remain firmly behind the most experienced manager we’ve had in a long, long time

COD, Benarous and Scott earned a start.  Chris Martin might as well go back to Coldplay as he is past it - I would stick Semenyo in there, personally, who would give us more pace, strength and effort up top even though his goal scoring record isn't so great.

If Baker is fit, it would be a toss up between him and Atkinson.

A big shout out to Andi Weimann, who again gave 100%.  A bit of an unsung hero, in my view.  Nobody else seems to give us that week in and week out.

Even though he scored tonight, I'm still not sure that Bakinson is giving 100%, but HNM certainly seems to.

    Are you serious?

Chris Martin got his head to the ball for the assist for the goal!

Weimann, yes agree, worked his socks off but no more than Martin who got in better goal scoring positions!

They ALL gave 100% last night!

    Bloody hell......
