    Because it’s frustrating.
Last season (and the season before) I couldn’t really care. We had a shit team with players I mostly disliked, so when the results were shit it didn’t really bother me as much.
That’s the thing - I am actually very positive about how we’re looking - in patches!  The fact that I’m being negative about a couple of things is by very virtue of the fact that I believe we ought to be better. It’s good, it’s getting better, I can see signs of progress- but I actually think some obvious mistakes are being made that are costing us these games.

So you think Pearson is doing a great job then?

    For the record, I do....

First rule of Fight Club?.............Don't listen to Mr Gay.  Two weeks ago, if i am correct?..... he stated that an £8 mill bid had been made for Andi Weimann.  My advice,  Pay about as much attention to him, as you would to a car alarm?

And just like a car alarm, he's bloody loud and never stops.....

Never said you were crap, just fed up listening to one contributer spouting bull..and not being picked up on it. On another thread Mark stated that Ian didn't watch the game but listened to it on the radio. If that is the case how on earth can he rate performances out of 10

    Absolutely this!

Not even there but spouting opinions on player ratings?

So opinionated and always thinks he's right. Never admits he got things wrong (his opinions of Gary Johnson for a start).

I could go on but apparently it's his birthday..... another day perhaps.

All that said.... whatever anyones opinion of the previous decisions Nige hasnt helped us here. Can you imagine the ref decisions getting better after his comments?

What, you think they are now likely to punish us by not giving decisions in our favour?

Do you seriously think they are that unprofessional?

It shouldn't make a damn bit of difference and if it did then Nige is absolutely correct in what he said...

I support him and his comments, standing up for his players and the club.

It's Ian's birthday today and you can listen to him later on the match review pod.?

    Ooooo goody goody!

Could you please ask him for an update of the AW transfer saga? I mean he does surely know the latest?

I need to know if I should bring a leaving card on Sunday....

I so want him to succeed because I know he has the pedigree and experience to make it happen for us.

But, I fear he may be one of those managers who has lost his 'mojo' and has peaked a few years back.

Arguably there may have been a slight improvement but it is so inconsistent and generally I don't feel he is moving us forward at the pace we need.

Frankly, some of the performances under his tenure have been laughable.

I don't know who could replace him and it's not up to me suggest anyone but I don't think he is the one for us.

    Sigh, here we go again!

Did you have this written hoping we would lose?

I must admit your damn quick with the negative post!

You say "I don't think he's the one for us"..... us?

I ask again..... how old are you and when was the last time you saw the team at the Gate?

Until Pearson starts showing some managerial skills and gets some better performances out of this joke of a team we will continue to get suggestions of random managers who may be able to sort this mess out.

It's not just 2 games this season with Pearson - it's been almost 2 years where the improvement has been almost nothing.

PS...Warnock is a very good manager who would probably turn us round in a few games.

    "Joke of a team"?

Serious question, how old are you and how long have you been attending matches at Ashton Gate?

You can still see, and I’m short. I’ve sat at points last season when we were dire.

Well, thanks for your reply, if nothing else it made I larf ?

I said to myself "he must be Clark Kent with x-ray vision"!

Hardly a practical suggestion though is it?

Just short of 1200 in the corner. The point still stands though, it's a shame AG can't be rejigged to get home support behind both goals

    Oh come on!!!!

    How many times people!!!!

You CANNOT put the singing/standing section behind the goal UNLESS everyone in that stand also stand. That's how the old East End worked.

A block of supporters sitting, next to a block of supporters standing means those sitting can't see a large area of the pitch!!

Not only that but what about those supporters who currently have season tickets in that block!!

well in the vast majority of grounds, a huge majority of grounds ,that is how it is. We ended up with a group in the corner for some old complex reasons, some related to ground development . Palace have a huge group in the centre being the goal so no idea why you picked them and what you are on about. I have been 25/30 times to Palace as a guest and it is no way stuck in a corner singing alone. I never said there are no practical considerations to consider, just looking at why we are so crap. East end, as you clearly will recall , had the centre section driving the singing, not the corner. Since we have the revised ground the general atmosphere and singing has been poor , well since we moved out of the old east end really. AG does not have a great match day atmosphere anymore (poor performances notwithstanding). The loudest singing last season was about a shoe. Sums it up.

As I said, the old East End was brilliant, but...Everyone was stood up!!!

There are No terraces any more  well not in our league anyway.

Loudest singing about a shoe says nothing about the singers are but maybe their mentality? Sence of fun?

Palace almost have that whole end behind the goal not just a poxy little corner like at Ashton gate

Sorry but the South stand IS all City, so is the whole Dolman and Lansdown.

    Don't understand your point....
