Yep. He's got QPR to 10th with no money.
Any other ideas Giok?
But with a much better squad than us surely?
They were talked about as playoff contenders at the start of the season, we were talked about relegation candidates.
We are not going down and haven’t been for some time.
Do you think QPR fans are happy with 10th?

There is talk that Warburton might be out soon at QPR, I would take him, good Manager.
So you want someone who's about to get the sack?

We'd be relegated if it wasn't for deductions. Pearsons done a pretty poor job but I'm done calling for the managers head. The problem is right at the top
You do understand why they got deductions don't you?

Bristol City. As in our Bri has just gone down the chippy.

FWIW having just renewed my season ticket, I for one will be very pissed off if NP ISN'T here.
I think without him Saturdays game would have nothing else on it except who finishes bottom, us or Peterborough!

Another question-
Just how long has this bloody thread got left?

Soft penalty? Have you ever been punched solidly in yer Puss?.................it was 100 % A penalty. Bents got it wrong, unfortunately, if it was the other way round, we would crying out for a spot kick?
Yes, but obviously it would be turned down!!

What nailed on penalty?
Possibly 2 actually.
Weimann fouled followed up by a definite handball.

The fact that Dicksy was offered the financial director post tells you everything about how chaotic the admin of the club was at that time. Might as well have appointed Gerry Gow as club dentist.
Can you imagine that?
Would have cost a fortune in string and broken door handles......

If he gets off because his wife says now (after all this time and the body cam footage) that was a mistake and it didn't happen that way then I feel sorry for EVERY woman in the future who will be bullied to do the same.
Ludicrous to even discuss it.

Many City want to be entertained and GJ got around that by playing dull and pedestrian football but amazingly managed to actually win matches and that off set the one dimensional style that he served up. It was so dull that I nearly fell
Anyhow it’s all water under the bridge and GJ is now managing at the level that is ideal for his skill set.
One dimensional?
Sums you up!
We may actually have gone up automatically that year if LJ hadn't been injured.
Did you go to Wembley for the game or decide to stay home because you were so bored? Oh but of course you did, silly me, no doubt driving a minibus full of City fans eh?

Was talking at the senior reds lunch today, recounted having the then Man U manager Tommy Doc up against the wall because he said something Dicks didn't like
Legend....

That was the perfect resolution of that game. There's something quite unlikeable about him. Seems like a proper little legend in his own lunchtime. The ridiculous thing was that Mendy has only recently won a penalty shoot out with Senegal.
Fair play to the ref just telling to get back on the line and to the Liverpool players for holding their nerve.
After the second time of asking the ref should have booked him, arrogant piece of shit.
The young Liverpool goalkeeper on the other hand showed so much more respect and delivered!
Good ending to a really good 0 - 0 draw.

The fact that we couldn't keep a clean sheet against either of these teams is absolutely damning.
But we WON ALL three games against them though eh?

Will be interesting to see how slow people are happy to see the improvement. Over the last 10 games most people would say we have improved but in the form table we are lower than our actual position.
We have improved IMHO. the current form table shows us in 18th place, 7 points from 6 games.
2 extra points would see us on 9 points and in 11/12 place. Over the last 6 games we have lost points in the dying seconds due to wrong decision making ( Pring at Preston for example).
With a fair wind and a bit of luck we would be higher.

God no, not this again!
I mean why? Why on earth would we even consider this?

Some might argue you could include Nigel Pearson as an old style manager, the jury is still very much out but there are signs of a game plan and a change of atmosphere around the club over the last couple of games.
Well in my view, the jury has retired and delivered a very positive verdict!

I went yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's not just about the lunch but a great opportunity to talk with fellow reds, especially those old enough to remember as far back as me!
The talk is always informative and entertaining. Pity NP couldn't attend but Richard Latham was excellent.
Previous guests have included Richard Gould, Mark Kelly and some greats from the past including Geoff Merrick, Sweeney, Tainton etc.
It's not just about the meal (although yesterday's was very nice), it's the occasion.
3 lovely hours spent in good company plus a nice meal for £20? I am more than happy!

Yes they did. It was very well done and respectful.
Can't remember which game either.

were we not once as well. OK many years ago but once we were one of the best if not the best in the second tier league of English football.
Alas another minimum two seasons yet in front of us before we can claim that again.
We certainly were one of the best but Sunderland won the title in 76.
Not that anyone gave a rats ass!
Really struggled that first year, will never forget that night in Coventry!!
I think the gap now is much bigger than then.
Really don't know if I'd be happy seeing the team dicked EVERY week. Just have to look at Norwich this season.

Nobody “put the boot in”.
What you have to remember about Robbored is that he plays on saying mildly controversial things, and does enjoy borderline trolling. It’s entertaining at times, and I don’t think he means badly by it.
I didn’t report him, but I believe he got given a holiday after he made comments that were the wrong side of that “mildly controversial” line and went into straight out offensive in a conversation about Covid where, at best, he misjudged the appropriateness of things he said about breaking regulations when others were sharing stories about loss, and not being able to hug dying loved ones. I don’t think he meant bad (I don’t think you can work for the NHS for that long and be a bad person), but he undoubtedly said the wrong things.
I think he’d probably admit that himself.
The trouble is if you post things to deliberately start fires, sometimes you get burnt.
I am, however, glad to see him back and look forward to winding him up and posting running jokes over GJ and the official site going forward.
OMG! Is that why you never see @Robbored and Boris Johnson in the same room?
Might Pearson walk?
