It opened a couple of weeks ago and from what I gather it was a sort of invite only on the opening night. A friend and his missus had tickets and got refused entry at 1105 because it was 11pm deadline for entry!!

To pay £15 entry to see some band in there is crazy, you get plenty of bands down the 02, Thekla, Louisiana etc etc all cheaper than that. Probably with a better atmosphere and set up better for bands. I have seen many in all of those places and many of them have been cheaper than that. Granted if it is someone you want to see etc that is different, but at least in town you are in town and can make a night of it. Leave MJs and you got the spoons (departure lounge) or a probable empty Chase downstairs if it is even open! Once a few people go in on a night out and don't like who they are seeing they won't be back. It is in a place for locals and not like a bar in town. I will be amazed if it is there in 2-3 years time, but good luck to them as think they will need it.

Did Dean Windass get an invite?

I`m sure Luke Freeman and Matt Smith won`t be looking forward to facing the wall of noise that will be heading their way on Tuesday.

No doubt they will as usual spend the entire match abusing anyone who once played for us rather than supporting their own team.

Yep, I bet Shaun McCloskey got a load of abuse today

    Yeah, here we go again...

QPR, another ground we visit practically every season. According to the Internet Rovers haven’t been there for 38 years. They’ll sell out their Cup Final, make some noise for once, then gloat that they take twice as many away as ‘da shit’...but they’ll obviously ignore the fact that for bread and butter away matches in the League they don’t make anywhere near the same effort. :laughcont:

    38 years? :shocking:

    away to QPR

    if we had gone threw

they would have been at home to Norwich

    whos laughing now

    Agent Cup

In their own minds the blue few think that they have some sort of special relationship with QPR going back to the Gerry Francis era on through the Hollowhead years.   QPR fans on the other hand just see them as the 5h!t team from Bristol.

I never was a joke amongst the gasheads. It was the other regulars in the pub who thought it was funny - most of them non football fans.

Btw - it’s my role to be a joke on here as I’m the pantomime villain.......I have a role to maintain.

    Oh no he isn't!

I’ve still got scars from the kicking I took at Swindon 40 odd years ago, including a stab wound scar in my right leg.....point is if you get involved in football violence there’s a good chance you’ll get hurt. A similar thing happened to me at Oxford but I don’t hate Oxford...

I wasn't involved in football violence, I was an innocent passenger on a football special train, which was hit in a premeditated attack by R"Vers 'fans' , so to me, every single one of them is a ****!

Not really. In all the years 50+ that I’ve been attending AG, I’ve never had a real dislike let alone hatred for the gas. They’re football fans, just as we are but like every club they have a bunch of neantherdals who say and act in dumb and idiotic fashion.

Some of our fans are exactly the same.

All the furore about burning down stadiums, Holloway chuntering about his dislike for City........all contributes more angst  to certain elements of both sets of fans. To me it’s all a bit Stone Age and I like to think that I’m above all that shit.

I know several gas heads and we often exchange harmless banter about our respective clubs. I’m always able to take the high morale ground.............

    I dislike Swindon way more.

I've still got the scars from rocks thrown through train windows by your blue friends, so you'll excuse me from joining your gas love in.

  8. The fake shiek says they have 3 sites earmarked for future stadium development.

1;Hinckley, once EDF pull out of building a new nuclear power station.

2;Chepstow race course, never mind it's over the bridge, still North Bristol isn't it?

3; Kevin Costner's Field of Dreams

    Number 3 is favourite :gasmask:
