  1. Khan didn't throw a single punch in that round. With nothing coming back the ref made the right call. Good tear up, I think Kell just wanted it that much more.
  2. It's not "opinion". I know who appoints managers at the FC thanks. Next you're going to tell me that by pure coincidence Ashton appointed Steve and Jon's friend Lee Johnson to be head coach. Yes, at least two video calls.
  3. You are very confused. You believe that the family which owns 99% of the shares in BCFC let a man who owns 0% of shares in the football club decide who the next manager, answerable to the aforementioned family, would be. It's remarkable naivety and from the same school of ridiculous thought that actually believed Ashton appointed Holden.
  4. Absolutely spot on & I hope The Lansdowns do show humility. Ultimately, their legacy is on the line here.
  5. No offence, but all you have done here is reassert what most of us know; that The Lansdowns investment in infrastructure at the club has been excellent. Now try critiquing their performance on the football side... go on.... there's 21 years of evidence. Go through every managerial appointment and pick the good ones, and let me know which of them have gone onto bigger and better things. In anticipation,
  6. Doesn't matter, there's serious interest from elsewhere now. Sporting Quarter approval should be April. Legal agreements will take a few months longer then the exit strategy is a step closer.
  7. Yes, I agree. It tallies with what I suppose I've known for a while but thought it not appropriate to say. Unfortunately, we are in yet another scenario where the home truths delivered by the manager of the day have not gone down well with The Lansdowns. The last two managers to have a difficult relationship with The Lansdowns were SOD and Cotterill and neither lasted more than two years. Barring a change of ownership it'll be the same for Pearson. Realistically, you can't have a wannabe-successful club with everyone pulling in the same direction when your chairman (and son of owner) are in public disagreement with the manager. Frustrating, but entirely predictable.
  8. Daughter's school has just announced it's closing for the day. I'm supposed to be going to Worcester V Bears too, which I assume now must be in doubt.
  9. Loads of great produce, but make sure you bring your credit card. I was a little underwhelmed by the food in San Sebastian, maybe it was just too hyped in my own mind before going. We did have one exceptional meal there but can't remember the name of the place now! On the positive they love their cider houses over there, where cider is poured the Asturian way (from great height!) San Sebastian must have the best city beach in Europe too. Bilbao worth a visit, the pinchos (basque tapas) in the old town was excellent.
  10. Impossible to say for sure. But with the pandemic settling down it could be within 18 months.
  11. I think in 15 or so years of him being part of the club hierarchy, I can't recall a single interesting thing he's ever said. The sooner him and his father sell the better imo. Not long now.
  12. It is very, very obviously written by an adult.
  13. King's availability has been far from ideal, however he has at least started 10 games for us (12 apps in total) scoring once and claiming two assists. Brunt contributed nothing.
  14. Got Root and Box-e booked up in the next couple of months. They should take away Casamia's star and give it to someone else ?
  15. Home support is excellent. To have the 8th highest average crowd in the Championship shows how we've grown into the division in the past few years. Away from home we don't consistently get strong followings, particularly up north. I do wonder if this is partly due to not having many expats in that part of the country. Also, due to the new AG facilities being so impressive, more people choosing to attend more home games than away. Finally, groundhog day in the Championship. We've been in this division for 12 out of the past 14 seasons and consequently fans have very few new grounds to visit.
  16. Have been to all three and they're all great, so you'll have a good time. Got the train from Vienna to Bratislava too, though must admit it was pretty bleak in November and didn't find the locals the friendliest. Tretters cocktail bar a favourite in Prague. Continential Hotel in Budapest is a nice place to stay. Underground (ruin) bars and the spas obviously well worth a visit. And of course, the Columbo statue!
  17. Great day out in Cardiff yesterday and a cracking game too. Certainly an interesting decision by Biggar to take the drop goal, but ultimately paid off! Cymru am byth!
  18. Let's just say, I don't think LJ was sacked solely due to results.
  19. Including Sam Surridge for £2.2m from Stoke City. Funny how the OP didn't post this praise last Monday. Forest had just lost in the league to....Cardiff City.
  20. What's the excuse for England losing to Scotland two years on the bounce? Five times as big a pool of players, all that money, high quality league, but can't beat Scotland??
  21. Cardiff lot are bloody horrible. Remember being there for England v Wales in the football WC qualifier and they were nasty. Mind you the police were worried about us on Queen St ??
  22. Kalle strikes me as a man who never leaves running out of gear to chance.
