  1. 15 mins in the first half we were looking good too, just never scored. Huge change for Wales but the future does look pretty bright. Big game now v Scots!
  2. Groves still had Froch on his ass and not many do that. It was an absurd stoppage
  3. Think we can finish top 6/win Champs Cup mate?
  4. I'm actually kinda pleased we didn't take an absolute beating tbh. Think you'll win it this year. Maybe only the French will stop you? Given I also hold an Irish passport I suppose I can't be too unhappy overall. ?
  5. KITR scorecard is back. Missus is away. Bottle of white wine in the fridge and Kalle's dealer on speed dial.
  6. Never said elite, but I liked Groves. Remember seeing him fight in LA, he got a horrendous cut early doors but went on and stopped his opponent. Tough lad and good boxing brain. Also involved in two of the biggest ever fights on UK soil. That night he made Jnr look like an amateur
  7. 2012 2013 2019 2021 = bragging rights. England should win this tournament every year but embarrassingly Wales outperform them ? Fifth last season, FIFTH!! Anyway, throughly enjoyed that Calcutta Cup match, ebbed and flowed nicely. Maybe on balance of play England deserved to win, but never mind! Eddie in ?
  8. I have this fight in my Virgin package, happy days. Just looking at jnr's record, tbf he's only lost to BJS (split decision) and Groves (outclassed). I think I maybe unfairly judge his entire career on being badly schooled by Groves, but gotta remember he was a bloody good boxer.
  9. Cor, 12 seconds in that clip really livens up!
  10. Yep, as I like to point out, Wales have comfortably outperformed England over the past few years despite obvious disadvantages. Participation levels of rugby in Scotland are low, so for England now to be considered underdogs against Scotland, and lose back to back Calcutta cups, is pretty shocking. I'm all for it tho, in Eddie we trust ?
  11. I always start with a word with at least 2 vowels in it. Then go from there. My advice is take your time and use the information you're given wisely!
  12. Erm, no. The 500 home scheme at Longmoor Village is at least close to meeting the 30% requirement, the sporting quarter scheme does not even attempt to meet it.
  13. Got it in three. Think I may have an addiction.
  14. Possibly to do with Dillian's arbitration? Probably a lawyer telling him to keep quiet. Deadline to sign contracts still a few weeks away. Can't believe this won't happen with all the money involved. Is Eubank fight on Sky Sports tomorrow? One channel I don't bloody have anymore.
  15. Yeah, I think it's worth it. Atmosphere is always class.
  16. Sold out now. But there are tickets on official resale in all areas of the ground ranging from £80-120.
  17. The developer (Lansdown) is offering 0% AH. That is fact.
  18. You guess wrongly. They are saying they will not provide any AH on-site or off-site, due to viability. All of this is complete nonsense, unfortunately.
  19. Looking forward to it again this year. Just about over the disappointment of Wales missing out on the Slam last year ? England were a disgrace last time out, surely must improve this time around? If they beat Scotland tomorrow (big if) then fixtures look favourable for them. I've got a ticket for Wales v Scotland next Sat, anyone else attending any games?
  20. It says so in the Planning Statement. And yes, they are using a viability argument to justify nil affordable housing. One may question what abnormal costs there are on this site to justify such an argument.
  21. LJ LMA Statement. Bit in bold! Amazing how the fortunes of a manager can turn so quickly... Classy Statement tbf. "Firstly, I would like to thank Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, Kristjaan Speakman and the Board of Directors for allowing me the opportunity to be Head Coach at this great Club. "To all the staff, whether that be my coaching team, players, the office staff, academy, training ground and stadium operations, your efforts have been nothing short of extraordinary. You are the heartbeat of the club and you should all be very proud. There are some amazing people within Sunderland AFC and some of you will be friends for life. Whether it be Karen Casey going above and beyond the call of duty, Joyce Rome’s fierce and unwavering support, or those who participated in our staff 6-a-side games on Fridays, there are far too many heroes at that football club to name you all. "Upon arrival, my remit was changing the playing philosophy at the club, reducing the average age of the first team squad, and all the while competing for and gaining promotion. I leave the Football Club knowing we were on the right path, which gives me incredible satisfaction. I tried to lead the team with honesty and integrity from the moment I stepped through the door. I am extremely proud of the hard work put in by a talented set of players and staff. Working together tirelessly on the training ground with such quality has been an honour. "Collectively we have achieved a lot in a short space of time, often in difficult circumstances. In the calendar year of 2021, we achieved the highest points per game average in the entire EFL, won the Papa John’s Trophy at Wembley, were amongst the highest goal scoring teams in the EFL, and took the Club to a Quarter Final of the Carabao Cup. During which I hope the Sunderland fans have found that love of a matchday once more, reconnecting with their Football Club with a collective pride of the hard work being done to play a brand of football to entertain as well as succeed. "I have spent many hours helping Stuart Harvey and Kristjaan Speakman in recruiting top quality, often youth international talent and I am grateful to my football friends and contacts in football for their counsel and aiding us in recruiting those players at extraordinary value. We have also protected the pathway for young players from the Academy of Light. Making sure opportunities were there for the best home-grown players to get the minutes they need to develop within the First Team. That unique connection to the community, of one of their own representing them, is so important at Sunderland. Dan Neil is now an example for others to follow and his recent England call up is a credit to all. "A special mention goes out to the Sunderland fans. Arriving in a pandemic with empty stadiums was strange to begin with but I am so glad we got to experience the passion that you guys bring to the Stadium of Light on match days. The attendances at this level are something you would not get at many clubs in the entire world. The experience has exceeded my every expectation, and I have felt a real connection with every Mackem I’ve met. It is a shame I couldn’t see the potential promotion through for you all, which was something I wanted to deliver for those that deserve it most. I was confident the work we did in January added the final pieces of the puzzle we needed to get there. I believe that this squad is ready now and I for one will be happy to watch them take you there. "Finally, I would like to thank my immediate family, my wife Nicola and my daughter Izzy, who sacrificed so much to allow me to pursue my dream of managing this iconic football club. "I have absolutely loved my time in the North East and am very grateful for the experience of managing Sunderland AFC. Nothing would make me happier than to see the club rise back to the top."
  22. You can read here about how of 125 residential units proposed at the sporting quarter, the Lansdowns are offering 0% of the units as affordable housing, despite the local policy stating a minimum of 30% should be provided. Some would suggest that is the actions of a ruthless, or even 'greedy' developer, as opposed to people with genuine concerns about the community at heart... but I'll let people make their own minds up. Edit: sorry link 21/03165/F | Demolition of existing buildings and the phased redevelopment of the site to comprise a sports and convention centre, a hotel, 125 residential units, office accommodation, retail, gym, club museum, multi-storey car park, public realm improvements and landscaping, new internal access routes, new and improved vehicular and pedestrian accesses and infrastructure and other associated works and improvements on land west of Ashton Gate Stadium. 23. Man attends PR event of Lansdown owned company, which has the sole intention of promoting said Lansdown owned company, in the presence of the Lansdown family, and in audience of the Lansdown family, and the next day the man tells everyone about how wonderful the Lansdowns are because they attended an event in honour of a Lansdown owned company that told him how wonderful they are.
  24. Got today's in two go's. You reds.
  25. They can't accurately predict the weather for tomorrow, let alone 9 days time.
