We ain’t getting anything Tuesday night. By Saturday we could be 3 points off relegation and a huge Mother’s Day clash. If that ends in defeat I’m not sure LMs position is tenable.

In steps the Pearson old guard to keep us up.

That’s the same Andy king that Jon Lansdown didn’t want to be even in the squad under Pearson . Not going to happen

That there was a rumour of some meeting after Wednesday defeat where Manning said he couldn’t “get” the players to play his way, followed by the press-conference this week where he said similar.  Kinda proved the rumour.

Which proves I suppose the idea of manning was flawed from the outset . As his “philosophy” never suited the players we’ve got .
so therefore BT either didn’t do his due diligence or they just lied about the budget & knew there would be a massive rebuild this summer

The oracle that is Ian Gay asked me if I’d sack LM, and who I’d replace him with.

it’s worth reading his ignorant / blind reply(s)!

I can’t read his replies as he blocked me 😂 what came out earlier this week ?

Well according to Chris Honor on radio Bristol post match

“Can’t criticise anyone of the hierarchy, look at the stadium, look how much they’ve done for the club, they’re Bristolian”

**** me dead. Made me want to cut my ears off.

He said just before kick off. O’dowda was one of my favourite players for city 😂 then followed up with.  Famara

didn’t end well here . He wanted too much but I liked him & he always gave his best. Oh yeah apart from the last 6 months you idiot 😖

It wouldn't surprise me if we got a couple of wins. Our single way of playing only seems to work against teams coming at us.

Masks a deeper issue though, and trend remains downhill.

If we do stay up . Next season we’ll be saying goodbye to the experience of Matty James , Andy king who’ve managed the dressing room , along with wiemann & I think wells will be gone as well. A young ish squad . Unless something is done now & I don’t just mean with manning but also JL & tinnion , it’ll be 2013 all over again

I thought the standard now regardless of length of contract, was to insert ‘but a max of 12 months payout if sacked’.

I we really are all in for 3 years then more fool us. Even then, that cost would have to be balanced against the cost of relegation.

Simon Jordan was talking about this the other day. He said there are always break clauses in managerial contracts . Surely tinnion couldn’t be that ******* stupid , could he ?
Think I’ve answered my own question

Do you want to hear from Ian Gay? I know we all do. Apparently it was all down to the injuries and we don’t have a big enough squad and we shouldn’t sack Manning due to cost.

    Total belter.

Shows what that clown knows. No manager has their entire contract paid up. There will be a % paid .

  8. I’ve missed more games as a season ticket holder this year than ever before . Next season would be 25 years as a season ticket holder . What with the new tv deal which means we could have a lot more kick offs moved about . Plus the absolute incompetence at board level , I’m not renewing . Completely disillusioned

This may have been discussed in some of the other threads since that pile of dog shite this afternoon, but both LJ and NP were sacked after losing to Cardiff. Couldn’t be a hat trick, could it? 🤞

And what ? Couldn’t trust the lansdowns & tinnion to pick their nose never mind a decent manager. You can be certain it won’t be someone with experience because they can’t deal with anyone making them feel uncomfortable . We’re ****** with this lot running things

  10. Thing is though . I don’t know where we go next. Turkeys don’t vote for Christmas . So, if the lansdowns sacked manning & tinnion , then who the **** makes the football decisions ?
Jon is nowhere near qualified to run a football club , so if he stepped down who runs it 😂😂 we haven’t even got a CEO any more .
They know nothing about football so trusts a man who doesn’t know how to run the football side . Who appoints a manager out of his depth. We’re ******

I’m afraid you will be in for a treat today….check our recent form. I don’t think we’ve played well since we beat you at home, and I’m not joking. Ramsey and o dowda not played all season almost. Grant is out….we can’t score for shit. 2.0

    That’s surely a positive O’dowda isn’t fit ?

    Not correct.

The Lansdowns have destroyed the culture at this club.

After two and a half years of it being built.

    ****ing heartbreaking.

    I will never forgive them.

Worst thing for me is repeating mistakes. How many times have they done it. Wanted a nice cosy club with a manager they can manipulate in LJ . We get  soft club that reflects the owners . Takes Pearson ages to turn that culture around . Someone they had to appoint to us out of the shit show they’d created. Now it’s starting all over again. Alarm bells are ringing big time for me.

Tinnion is doing what anyone would do in his position. He knows he's landed on his feet, by unjustified means. He's now working with JL by making their positions easier to manage. Sadly he's not intelligent enough to realise his liked status by the fans is becoming very diminished.

He's on thin ice with the fan base.  He imo, is a good academy director and should be still in that position.

Having him and JL in charge is a recipe for disaster imo.

Both are scared of strong dominant men, who have achieved more and will ruffle feathers.

    Both come across as cowards.

LM looks like a rabbit in headlights blaming seasoned players for his poor ideas.

Being led by people out of their depth.

This has relegation battle all over it for next season.

I’ve said it before. No new contracts for James & williams next season . All the experienced players out the door at once . No one to rock the boat A squad full of younger players in general . They’re revisiting the LJ years . Never ever learn from mistakes. I 100% expect to get relegated next season

Without wishing to belittle your memories Joe, I couldn't help read this and not think of "the Tiddlywinking Leapfroggers" as described by George in the last episode of Blackadder Goes Forth.

"George: Well, er, Jacko and the Badger bought it at the first Ypres front, unfortunately — quite a shock, that. I remember Bumfluff’s house-master wrote and told me that Sticky had been out for a duck, and the Gubber had snitched a parcel sausage-end and gone goose over-stump frogside.

    Edmund: Meaning…?

George: I don’t know, sir, but I read in the Times that they’d both been killed.

    Edmund: And Bumfluff himself…?

George: Copped a packet at Gallipoli with the Aussies — so had Drippy and Strangely Brown. I remember we heard on the first morning of the Somme when Titch and Mr Floppy got gassed back to Blighty.

    Edmund: Which leaves…?

George: Gosh, yes, I, I suppose I’m the only one of the Trinity Tiddlers still alive. (Lummy?), there’s a thought — and not a jolly one."

I see Strangely Brown as one of the great names in British comedy. :)

Brilliant . Up there with porridge as two of the best written comedies ever.

    Don’t forget your stick lieutenant.
Ah yes. Wouldn’t want to face a machine gun with out this . 😂😂

It is the way of the defeat yesterday which concerns many of us - bereft of ideas, bereft of skill, bereft of fight.

The last bit is a load of bollocks . Lazy comment to Chuck about & it happens often . There was no lack of fight & there isn’t in this squad. Manning said about mentality pre match & that's where initially the game was lost. I think we were mentally off it 5-10% that’s enough to get beat in this league by anyone. Stop with the histrionics ffs . We are where we are at the moment .
