“It’s all about how we adapt in game depending on what they change or throw at us”

    Definitely reads the forum…😂😂

Just can’t warm to the bloke. It’s not his fault really. Should never have been given the job. I want him & tinnion gone but would never want us to lose a game . **** knows who would take over as caretaker boss if he did 😬

Wow, my City history is identical to yours mate; started going in 76/77, season ticket since about 2000, and yes, I too have missed more games this season than for a very long time.

It's not just City though, football is nothing like the game I loved as a youngster, on or off the pitch. Many would argue it's much better in all ways now than in the 70s, and they're probably right too. It just doesn't excite me like it did then.

That said, I am going today, and my biggest hope is that I won't be coming away with that crushing disappointment that the last few games have brought

Football was different then . It’s big business now but I agree  . I still have a quizzical look when someone walks past with a slice of pizza or curried goat at a football match 🙄 each to their own though .
bovril & a horse pie was the staple diet. Not many of us miss those days food wise but the  football I do . It’s so sterile now . Every club from the prem to league 2 wants to play out from the back , split centre backs etc etc 😴

Little spontaneity to the game anymore .

Grassroots for me and mine.  I really want to know how many Sunday games the new tv deal will potentially mean.

Another reason for me not renew. Five games on sky every weekend . Three o’clock Saturdays used to be sacrosanct . It’s all over the place now . I hope the tv company’s have compensated the clubs with enough money because I can’t see how crowds won’t drop off

Not there today but will definitely be renewing.

I view it as "our" club, the fans are the only constant everyone else from players, manager, board etc are just passing through.

I get that & have wrestled mentally for a few months about renewing . That last day to renew will be tough , but I just can’t stand the Lansdown’s tenure anymore. I’ll get a membership & pick & choose my games until their gone

  6. I’ve been a season ticket holder for 24 years. Supported the club since age of 5 . First season was 76/77 (glory hunter)

I’ve done the blindly following no matter what , especially under the LJ years. It’s an age thing definitely as my favourite era was under TC . However im bored with it all under the lansdowns now . I’ve missed more games this season than ever before & look for reasons not to go now .
So , my question is .
Are you going today because it’s what you do.

same as me , bored with it

still as enthusiastic as ever .

Theres no right or wrong , it’s how you feel . I’ll go to the Leicester game because a few of us are out 🍻🍻 after the game . Apart from that I’m done this season .

I really do hope we win today to take pressure off

Agreed, above first team manager level (forget your views on him for a second) we are shambolic and it’s now playing out.

Same mistakes being made as well . Never learn .

Which proves that he’s not qualified for the job. Part of his job is answering the tough questions intelligently and keeping the emotion out of it to give the fans confidence that the club is in control of whatever current situation is occurring. That’s the role of a PROFESSIONAL Tecknical Director…….

If Manning wins the last ten games Sid still has to go imo.

Another laughable appointment Is JL  as chairman . To my knowledge he has no qualifications to run a football club apart from being born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He admits  he knows nothing about football . The same with finances , otherwise he’d be CEO . Is really poor at public speaking , while not his fault it’s a big part of being top dog of a professional football club . So he’s just his dads puppet & some of the strings have broke

The journo’s need to a bit more intelligent with their questioning. Something along the lines of “yes Brian, fans were happy after watching the Southampton performance but do you think they are happy with a total of 9 points since the win at Watford on Boxing Day? Are you happy with that Brian?”.

    It’s not difficult.

In house interviews ain’t going to test him though. If he went on SOTC it would be the same . If you question him like I did on twitter he blocks you .

    Rotherham are done.

Sheffield Wednesday's resurgence is impressive and I hope they make it.

Of the rest, I'd like Stoke and Birmingham to go down.

    Like this:

    Birmingham

    Stoke

    Rotherham

Don’t think we’re in any position to be starting threads like this tbh

I quite like Taylor, he’d have been on my prospective manager lists, but not as high up as Duff.

There are definitely parallels.  A lot of anger towards the owner Evans who was not investing.  Mick kept them doing nicely in the circumstances.

Yep, perfect gameplan (that you or I could’ve come up with, in fact I kinda did) until it goes wrong, when it moves from being “us” to being about “them”.  Ipswich are strong in the last 15, they had a plethora of bench options, we didn’t have much, but we had Roberts, we had King, and with McCrorie struggling he had options too at RB…JKL (brave), Sykes to RB, Mebude on in front of him….legs.

He is a theory based head-coach.  He’s basically a coach.

I might be wrong but the way they were constantly getting behind us was crying out for a back 5 , dropping a bit deeper & shutting off that option. Moore had gone off as well so less of a threat if they wanted to pump crosses into the box . Hes coming up against better managers now & he doesn’t seem to be able to counteract their tactical changes.
