Piercy said, the atmosphere down the ground is stopping the players from playing, and even stopping Manning from coaching how he wants to coach. So, it's our fault.

No. He didn’t say it was our fault. He said the atmosphere has been building since Pearson was sacked.

Sorry gents. What’s this in relation to?

Both of them , when asked why clubs go past us to get promoted said (paraphrasing ) we’re not set up to be successful .
good listen . Neither pulled punches.

Well if anyone heard a few rumours doing the rounds, Ian Gay has heard the same and just broadcast it on BBCRB.  Him and his source have no filter and no shame.  Wow!

Did wonder what all that was about.
also without actually naming them they’ve had a pop at the lansdowns there. A personality vacuum since nige left .

No chance, SOD was part of one of the worst periods watching the club for me.

It was poor no doubt . I don’t get the hatred for the bloke though. He was brought in to put fires out everywhere like Pearson was initially. Lansdown had brought in mark Ashton in as a recruitment consultant. He oversaw the signings of overpaid under achievers . The squad was in a terrible mess when SOD took over. He got rid of a lot of that shite & set the foundations for the title winning side , bringing in fielding, jet , pack, flint . The one glaring shining turd in all of that was Lansdown making Ashton CEO a few years later after completely ******* the club over previously . Unbelievable really

No, of course we shouldn't. But I do believe it'll get better with time

I don’t see any evidence that it’ll get better . He hasn’t been here for 2 or 3 games. It’s 5 months & the football is regressing . The players clearly don’t believe in his tactics . I’m interested in what you see in the performances to suggest it’ll get better

Yes I have. We’ve been consistently inconsistent and often played better against top half teams.

Sorry that you are offended I have a different point of view to you. Who’d of thought you’d find that on a forum!

Having a different point of view is of course absolutely fine. I really can’t see your logic though . He is possibly the worst manager we’ve ever appointed . However that isn’t the biggest problem . Having sacked Pearson for no good reason apart from the Lansdown’s ineptitude , they’ve backed themselves into a corner. It’s another in a long list of terrible football decisions & just sacking the manager won’t be enough this time . There’s a lot of anger among the fans that won’t just disappear by getting rid of manning .

Disagree. Tinnion being donated his current position and the sackings around that trumps every single poor decision he’s ever made, by quite a distance too. Manning being appointed is only a symptom of that decision.

True. That just highlights how inept the lansdowns are though . How can you possibly own a football club for over 20 years & still not know anything about the game.

    Manning.

Someone with a back bone to stir hornets nest and stop Tinnion interfering.

I don’t get the logic. Tinnion’s never going to help appoint someone with a larger ego than him. Tinnion has to go . Not back to the academy but out of the club completely . It won’t happen because he’s the only one with any idea about the game. He is a Lansdown lap dog .  I really do not trust any of them . We need to be sold because the lansdowns are slowly killing us .

We haven’t got 12 points from our last 15 games? We have 15 putting us 19th in the league - so not in the bottom three.

From my perspective we’ve remained midtable since LM arrived and I expected no different.
When Pearson was sacked we were 15th in the league and now we a sitting in 14th. So granted, not a massive improvement, but for me no reason to call for his head at this stage.

Have you watched the football ? Stop chatting bollocks . The players clearly are not having him & even the away fans have turned . He’s a dead man walking & rightly so

I heard it . He nothing but a Lansdown apologist . Its cringeworthy. His mate though used to work for HL and won’t have a word said about him .

Interesting to see @superjack give me a facepalm on my opinion . Where do you think I’m wrong Jack ?

No idea if I count as silent, or a majority. Under manning, to date, the football has been pretty awful to watch, slow, predictable, and not adjusted to compensate for the many weaknesses in the squad. We don’t have anyone who is good as a lone striker, and no idea why we are playing Knight in a forward, nondescript role.

He might come good, but equally, if he left tomorrow, I wouldn’t be sorry.

Just going on your last sentence . I’ve seen nothing to suggest he’s going to come good . He hasn’t improved us at all . In fact he made us regress

    It isn't simple though.

Manning being sacked calls in to question BT and JL management/decision making.

It doesn’t really . They haven’t made a good footballing decision in **** knows how many years. The lansdowns appointment of tinnion as technical director is an admission they know nothing about football plus he won’t question them . Also he’s also the patsy . It all goes wrong , tinnion goes

I think I’ve said before it’s actually more like 1994-95. The prior season was turgid and uninspired football but the cup games against Liverpool where we did play well gave a false position - but we were on marginally over a goal a game and the signs were there. They then followed through into the following season where we were shite.

I know Tinnion lives off nostalgia as opposed to competence. But reliving a relegation season is a step far too far…

Apart from being completely drunk during the 90’s I also played Saturdays  so only went to night games . I can’t really remember it too much . Apart from pulis 😂

He lacks the gravitas, the contacts, the experience, perhaps the intelligence shall I go on.

Mind you he isn't the only one.

This is it . We’re in trouble . If we had a a sound board of directors . A good competent CEO & director of football who most of us trusted, but had just made a poor choice of manager . Fine . They say ok we got this wrong .
After 20+ years of the lansdowns , things should be getting better but it’s not . Manning is the worst of a very long list of terrible football decisions . We’ve gone from Richard Gould to no CEO at all. I joked a few years ago that JL wouldn’t take over because he’s incompetent & has no credentials to run a club . Here we are though .

Lansdown Snr should be worried. The form table is getting worse not better. Only 2 teams below us in the league table doing worse than us at the moment and one of those is Rotherham…

    https://thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=2

Given the fixtures coming up it’s hard to see where the next points are coming from. Suddenly those games against Blackburn and Huddersfield look huge. Get nothing from those 6-pointers and we are in big trouble.

Before beating Swansea I would agree but I think we’re ok this season. Next season though is a different matter. With manning in charge it’ll be 2013 all over again

They will absolutely be bricking it if season ticket sales are significantly down on a like for like basis v last season by the time the Leicester game rolls around. So yeah, that could be an interesting weekend.

I’ve never questioned myself re season tickets . I like all of us love the club . Every year , no doubt I renew . Always had a bit of a dislike for SL’s arrogance & decision making but shoved it to one side. Not now . There’s no way I’m renewing . I’m not withdrawing support for the badge but for the owners . They get no more of my money .

I think he’s absolutely under pressure. There are little tells of it everywhere, Tinnions tetchy interview, the little digs about the atmosphere, Liams excuses. People like to say the forum isn’t reflective of the fanbase - it absolutely is. Look anywhere.

I still don’t hold any surety he sees the season out.

Hes a dead man walking no doubt . As I’ve put on here a couple of times tonight though. Who would want the job . It doesn’t take much looking into to , to see we’re pretty unprofessional off the pitch . Tinnion is a laughing stock . Football is a small world , word gets about
