It's obvious that he's been thrown forward to spout the owner's/chairman's platitudes because the peasants are revolting.
I'd interpret all this waffle and guff as
"Bollox, I think we fuqued up and have been sussed. And we can't admit it because we still need to sell season tickets".
The truth is Pring and Conway will be sold in the summer because they've both had their heads turned by big clubs and will make good money.
We'll invest in young talent and free transfers and hope that Manning actually proves to be a half decent coach.
Our football club is a car crash of mismanagement, owned by people who know nothing about football and clearly realise they've shot themselves in the foot.
I’ve said it for years , going back to Millen’s days that he knows nothing about the game . The list of footballing mistakes are extensive , but his ego won’t allow him to admit & correct it. Apart from cotts (Kieth dawe) he’s got by, by chucking money at it . Now he’s not willing to do that anymore , his ineptitude is being exposed for what it is.
I really do hope I’m wrong but I can see us going down next season . There’s similarities with mciines & manning . They’re both being hung out to dry- 6

I don't care if I get shot down, that's fine, but I am sick of the negativity towards Tinnion.
I love the guy. Pure and simple, he's a city legend and was in the team for my first four years as a fan and had a left peg I absolutely worshipped.
Anyway, I'm not here to talk about his football legacy, I think it's cruel and unfair the way he's treated on here, quite often as a figure of fun and with his intelligence and communication skills being mocked and belittled, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
He's not our enemy, he's our ambassador, he's a man who's gave most of his working career to our club, even though being a Geordie and having no previous affinity to the club.
We know he's not the best fit for the job he currently has, but he had the ambition to go for it, the same as his stint as a manager, he wasn't up to speed, but he had the ambition and drive to go for it. I respect and love that.
It's not his fault if he's not right for the job, it's up the people above him if they feel he should be replaced.
Personally, I want him in charge of the academy, that's his best fit and hopefully he will be back there sometime in the future - back within his comfort zone.
But in the meantime, he will definitely be giving everything to the club and deserves much more respect and our support.
You don't have to love Pearson and hate Brian, you can appreciate them both!
And even though I don't agree with Manning being our gaffer, I can see the reasons why he was recruited.
Love him or loathe him. Hes not fit for purpose . But then again neither are the lansdowns

It’s going to be a carve up . No way he’d be on there with twentyman

I give you West Ham 'Boro, Saints Forest off the top ... and although there have been some poor games to take this stance is well just underlines what I am saying about Doom mongering on here, he inherited a paper thin squad with the best talent flogged off and not replaced, and yet we won't get relegated this season or next.
IF he get the sack just who the Hell do we turn to anyway? Because for the life of me I can't think of anyone and no can anyone on here too...unless you can.
It’s not doom mongering at all , it’s a honest assessment . The games you mention . Prem teams give you more time on the ball than the chaos of the champ plus teams raise their games in the cup . We generally were counter attacking in most of those games. That’s how this squad has been built by Pearson , so it suits us. I’m not having squad excuses because we’ve been told by tinnion that this squad should be challenging top end but you yourself have mentioned us not getting relegated. That’s the opposite of what manning signed up for. Are you willing to wager we won’t go down next season ? As I see it , with him in charge with tinnion overseaing things we’re in trouble next season

I don’t think we’ll be all but relegated by Christmas with manning in charge. Assume you’re over exaggerating. Do t see us higher than mid table but most likely around that
If the rumours are true that all of the experienced players are off in the summer then who’s in control/policing the dressing room. King, James, wiemann, wells have built a strong culture . It looks like that’s being slowly eradicated. If we end up with the culture we had when Pearson first came in then we’re in big trouble .

Is this what the forum has come too? What’s the point in mods if this is the way we are talk to each other. We won ffs. WE WON to almost guarantee safety.
We should be buzzing.
I get the Manning outers are the most vocal ones on here, and maybe for a reason us who want to stick with Manning can’t see, but let’s not get to this point.
Read the last sentence of your first paragraph again . That’s why fans are pissed off

Nonsense some fans think we ought to be winning every week explain that.
Do they ? Name them . You’re coming across as a bit of a dick to be honest

Oh ok super fan . If he wants to show he’s pissed off by not going to games , who the **** are you to question him

Yeah, wasn’t trying to second guess Manning, and as you say he seems to try to counter out opponent rather than impose our game on them.
Which is a step backwards imo . Seems a negative thing to do

In fairness Cornick did well enough on Tuesday to keep his place.
He didn’t really get much chance in a poor team performance at the point he came off. I felt sorry for him.
Possibly , but he sets up differently for every game depending on who we're facing . So if a quicker more direct player in Sykes was a better option then why not play him. He obviously thought differently

Each individual has their own perspective I can’t comment for you. Well my view is the “whole lot” is that Manning has disappointed so far yet he has done enough to merit time, and some players who he wants to recruit.
The worry is that he can’t adapt . It’s pretty clear he inherited a squad that’s not capable of playing the way he wants . He’s unable though to set us up as needed & change slowly as he gets the players he wants . That must be a big worry , it is for me.

Glad we won but the football is dull dull dull and no passion with this clown in charge
That’s because he wants emotionless players . Whatever that means . Football is all about emotion . I think he means players need to make decisions with cool heads. If that’s what he means then bloody say it. I thought I could give him more time than I have but he’s a bluffer & I can’t watch his style of football

But if he gets criticised for it then surely you have to give praise for getting it right? Which he did today
Because Cornick played well mid week, he didn’t today but there we go
It was obvious subs though & you could say Sykes should have started . Therefore he got it wrong to start with

When we’ve been in the form we’ve been in recently result is the most important thing. We were constantly on the front foot mid week but lost the game. What people won’t mention is the subs that Manning made changed the game…
That’s the basics of his job . He shouldn’t be celebrated for it when it’s a one off . It was easy to see the problems mid week & he did nothing

Why concentrate on the negative, we were tight and how many shots did they have ?
Exactly....
If you crave entertainment go to the cinema...football is not a guaranteed outcome.
**** me . Are you blind ? That was abysmal as has most of the football under manning . We will get relegated with him in charge next season .

The one upside to all this is that we didn't sign that Brazilian wizard Ronald before Swansea. He can't take a short corner of even a throw in. How did he ever become a professional footballer ?
I don’t think I’ve seen a worse player at championship level . Although we’ve had a few

I was thinking. If we can raise our game 10% they’re there for the taking. We’re not as bad as we’re playing but Swansea are shocking . Papering over the cracks though , he has to go .

We can’t string 2 passes together and there is zero movement off the ball.
Sykes had the ball , two swans players closed him down . Mcrorie just had to move infield 5 yards to receive the ball & just stood there .

Body language of our players is terrible, Swansea close our defenders down and they just throw their arms up in frustration at the lack of passing options
I’d never accuse this squad of players of not trying but I do think they’re not having this manager . They’ve seen through him
