  1. Derek McInnes is the new Kilmarnock manager. McInnes knows his one and only goal will be restoring Killie’s Scottish Premiership status, and he obviously fancies himself to get it done as the Ayrshire side lie five behind Arbroath with a game in hand. Despite it being a while ago, he has previous of winning promotion to the Scottish top-flight. He guided St Johnstone to the First Division title back in 2009 – and he’s since managed Bristol City and the Dons. At Pittodrie he turned Aberdeen from a bottom-six side into a consistent top-six team, regularly competing in Europe and finishing in the top-four. So City is the only team he's not had success with.
  2. I reckon City "owe" Blackpool big time. That stoppage time equaliser in August (IMO) psychologically affected the team and fans who thought they had a win to start the season. After that we went into games expecting to concede at the end.
  3. Since our promotion in 2015, the highest placed relegated team has been; Charlton - 40, Blackburn - 51, Barnsley - 41, Rotherham - 40, Charlton (again) - 48 and Wycombe - 43.
  4. I've checked Youtube, but cameras stopped filming before the final whistle.
  5. Their manager mainly and to a lesser degree their defence are at fault according to their fans. https://millwallonline.com/forum/threads/match-thread-bristol-city-v-millwall-1pm.50453/page-10
  6. https://millwallonline.com/forum/threads/2021-22-league-ladders-game-26-bristol-city-away.50439/page-2 Either a draw or narrow away win looking at their posts. Except for "Millwalljohn" on page one who's predicted a 2-0 win for City.
  7. The QPR forum also had a thread about the Ref; https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/forum/280413/tomorrows-referee/#6 He appears to be consistently bad; To be honest give me ten Andy Woolmers to a single Keith ‘cùnt’ Stroud every day of the week. At least he tends to be incompetent for both sides without any bias, and it does give Clive a chance to wheel out THAT Preston report from a few years back, which being present at that match certainly gave his performance the justice it deserved. Thought he was a lot worse than Stroud last night compared with Stroud when we played B'mouth.
  8. Their fans are complaining https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/forum/280456/page:8/#195 This is exactly how you don't play against 10 men. Tippy tappy side to side stuff against 10 men. We seem to be happy to pass it about and Bristol can manage us. Nobody's taking any risks to beat their man with a turn or a give and go to create opportunities. Adomah is trying but can't beat the left back.
  9. I recently changed from Sky to BT. Is there a way still to access the red button as I can't from the BT remote control.
  10. Looking at the QPR Forum, some of their fans think City are in for a points deduction; https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/forum/280396/bristol-city-(bang-in-trouble)/#32
  11. Arguably then, that draw was a good point for City.
  12. So that was a happy Christmas period for you then; I was expected on Christmas Day, so having taken my Mum to the maternity hospital, nothing else to do, so Dad went down to the Gate! City 2 - Reading 1.
  13. It was my 20th birthday and in the afternoon City gave me a birthday treat and in the intervening years, I've never had any gift so pleasing as this. Stood on the Open End, as each goal went in friends were shaking my hand and wishing me a happy birthday.
  14. As some clubs have had more postponements than others, a fixture back log is already occurring, but some clubs will have more games to play in the next few months than others, especially if they then have a good cup run. At a guess, one or two clubs may find themselves playing Sat - Tue - Thur for the last week or two of the season. Clubs with small squads will thus be fielding weak teams for certain fixtures. As an aside regarding games (not just football)scheduled for broadcasting that have been called off, one sports channel has even broadcast in it's place "Axe throwing championship". Any one ever say to the school sports teacher "Please sir, can I have a go at axe throwing please?"
  15. So Luton won't need to rest any players against us.
  16. https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/wildlife-guides/bird-a-z/robin/ Robins sing nearly all year round and despite their cute appearance, they are aggressively territorial and are quick to drive away intruders.
  17. It appears Rovers are used to playing on cabbage patches. ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memorial_Stadium_(Bristol) The site was created on an area of land called Buffalo Bill's Field, after Colonel William "Buffalo Bill" Cody's Wild West Show was held there between 28 September and 3 October 1891.[3] Two years later in September 1893 Clifton RFC played on the site for the first time. During the First World War the site was converted into allotments, but after the war Buffalo Bill's Field was bought by Sir Francis Nicholas Cowlin (then the Sheriff of Bristol) and given to Bristol Rugby Club. It was opened as the Memorial Ground on 24 September that year by G. B. Britton, the Lord Mayor of Bristol.
  18. When Rovers sold Eastville in the late 1940's, the agreement was to then rent at 4% of the ground's value. They failed to realise that if the value of the stadium increased, their rent would increase.
  19. Well that's more than enough for them.
  20. Their cheer leaders would become Cabbage Patch Dolls.
  21. 22A

    Leeds United.

Everton as well. Not because of the fans, but they are considered by the media (Sky TV & BBC) to be one of the Big Clubs.
  22. Sort of thing I'd expect from Pyongyang City. This organization was founded by Kim Il-sung on 30 April 1956
  23. On the 5.00pm news some Prem Managers were moaning that they have to play if poss and over Christmas that's three games in just five or six days with only 14 players. But we keep being told today's players are much fitter than those of previous generations. Hmmm; 3 games in 4 days at Christmas and Easter. No subs before 1965 and then only 1.
  24. Despondency on their forum; https://downatthemac.proboards.com/thread/116632/bristol-city-town-match-thread
