The thread is pure comedy gold mind, one even calling us "Just like Yeovil who got lucky with a rich owner"..

Yeah, the usual boneheads have provided us with some good laughs from this one.

Bunch of morons, telling us how superior they are for not talking about City on a thread called 'OTIB Watch' that gets to page 7 in only 24 hours :laughcont:

Hilarious that the 15er starts a thread about us on their forum to point out that we have a big thread about them on our forum and that makes us "obsessed" with them.  Their thread then gets to 7 pages in less than 24 hours....:rofl2br:

Having a thread called 'OTIB Watch' sounds just as obsessed as anything they accuse us of, admitting that they ban City fans just for being City fans shows that they are the ones who feel threatened.

Poor little Sagheads, running around screaming for the 'banhammer' as soon as a City fans posts on their forum, it's pathetic. 7 pages in 24 hours? I thought they never talk about us?

    Hypocritical, crybaby pussies.

"Will the new owners be funding the stadium?"

"We're lucky they own a investment bank they can attract investors"

"Is that a yes or no"

"We'll be looking worldwide for investors"

    That'll be a no then.

They're the "richest club in Bristol now, new stadium on its way"....It's all been confirmed by Jake's dad. He even slurred "unlucky the shit", so it must be true....

Is he refering to this, do you think...?

That one and the OP sound particularly angry and bitter don't they? :laughcont:

Nice to know we've got under their skin. "Can't wait until the day we go above them".....tragic, the perfect example of Gas ambition.

:sub:Hello again d1cks from Slagchat, thanks for reading.

Thought i would chime in. Al qadi came in when  the transfer window and loan window was opened and rovers challenging for promotion. Surely bringing in 1 or 2 championship or league 1 players on loan could have been affordable, and just 1 point extra could have made the difference, why didnt he bring soneone in? Jet on loan is one im thinking of, or even wes burns. If they dont go up, that will be a critical error.

I don't think the transfer window was still open mate, it was the same weekend we went to MK and I'm sure you could only bring in loans at that stage. I suppose the obvious answer as to why they signed no one at that time would be that they felt no urgent need to bring in new players to a side that were comfortably winning games....that's just guesswork on my part of course.

As I've already said, they will get promoted this season and I suspect that Al Qadi is genuine and will bring them a better future than they were likely to get with the Circus they had running things before....however, how committed he remains to Rovers if they ever start making the kind of losses we have in recent years remains to be seen. I'm glad we've got Lansdown.

Get someone else to pay for it because he hasn't got the cash or the balls pay for it himself?

"Accy dont deserve it. Sorry but as well as they are doing, 2000 fans a game, in a tinpot ground? Not exactly league 1 style is it... But if they go up fair play to em"

Whilst these are just a couple of quotes from an Internet forum those of us who work and live alongside Gasheads know full well that many of them share this sort of arrogant attitude and delusions of grandeur....the very thing they accuse us of.

Inside their heads that are tightly packed with straw they believe that the average 'neutral' fan in this country view them as humble 'salt of the Earth' type supporters whilst the reality is that most fans who come into contact with them (either on the Internet or real life) think the opposite.

for me the 16 years of hurt being in our shadows and the drop into non-league (the funniest day of my life for the 15ers, they don't like be called that:D) the mental scars and bitterness WILL never leave their minds, it's job done on their sad souls for Life

I was having a bit of 'banter' on the Post FB page a while back with a Gashead who was taking the piss out of our Championship season up to that point and I mentioned how funny their relegation from the entire football league was.....his response was that we weren't laughing for long as they got promoted back to the FL the following season.

It gave me great pleasure to burst his bubble and inform him that we will ALWAYS find their relegation to Non League funny no matter what happens now or in the future. :clapping:

    Happy Dayzzzzz

They've still not sold out their squalid dump for the biggest game of their season so far tomorrow and you see them chatting about 35k capacity stadiums.

    Bewildering.

Joking aside, new stadiums do seem to make an impact on supporter numbers and there's no real doubt in my mind that once the UWE Stadium is built their attendances will go up, certainly in the first few years. Whether they stay higher will depend on success/failure on the pitch....just like us and pretty much every other league club.

In fairness to 'Hello', he hasn't been spouting all the pie in the sky bullshit you find written by mentally challenged Rovers fans on Facebook and Slagchat. They've always slagged off our atmosphere yet many also complain about their own at the Mem as things are now with a 'hardcore' 5/6k supporters. It'll be no better in a 21/27/35k all seater stadium with an extra 10k fans who couldn't be bothered to show up during the hard times....let alone belt out Irene or anti City songs for 90 minutes.

Slagchat and Facebook will of course claim that as soon as these new fans turn up they'll be blown away in amazement by the 'quarterz' and 'Ireeen' and will instantly become 'Gas fer life', 'hate the shit', 'Gas family' blah blah blah which is cringeworthy rubbish. If they were that special as a club and fanbase compared to us they would've had higher attendances than us for decades, selling out their own ground every week...but they haven't.

It's enjoyable because you know that some sags read this forun more than they read their own forums and every couple of weeks they can't holdnit in any longer and have to sign up on here and comment. :rofl2br:

Or explode and have a breakdown on Slagchat.

There always was a lot of 'visitors' viewing the old NLBR thread

Who died and put you in charge of what people can read or write about on here?

Because there is no way they could be any worse off then they were. They didn't have a penny to scratch their asses with

I think you're spot on, I think their new owners realise that with planning permission for a new stadium already obtained they could have themselves a potentially nice little goldmine....if not for certain with a successful football team then with non football revenue, easily expandable capacity as well should the need arise.

This is where Higgs pulled an absolute blinder in my opinion by teaming up with the UWE and getting all this rolling. Gasheads will claim that Weal took them on because they are 'unique' and 'sleeping Giants with a massive loyal fanbase' (or some other deluded shit) but I strongly suspect the reality is that the prospect of owning ANY league football club with pp for a 20k+ stadium in a highly populated City with good transport links seems like a reasonable investment. There's no way he will not get them a new stadium.

They will also get promoted, as long as we stay up the relief of survival in the Championship after the first 6 months of this season will FAR outweigh any disappointment about Rovers promotion to a division below us.

The length of this thread and the NLBR thread is testament the amount of absolute comedy gold they've served up over the last 2 years. Any Gashead who says it wouldn't be the same on their forums if the tables were turned is a massive ******* hypocrite.

Gutted, but they are in good form & might end up a very good point.

Here's to Brentford beating MK next week to keep us safe.

You've jumped ahead without considering Tuesday's games mate. If MK lose away to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday we're safe (apart from maybe Charlton who need to win all 4 of their remaining games and overturn a far worse goal difference)
