Alex Scott - £25m to Bournemouth- Confirmed

I'd be delighted if the did but Brighton operate a very comprehensive transfer model. They don't pay for potential. Rather they find it where others don't. -

Do you drive a Kwik Move van for a living? -
Part of it. We're 2-1 and are starting to get on top a bit now. Couple of good chances for a third. H/T now 2-1

Much more ragged display from this lot.

Let's see a pass completion rate that high v PNE.

I think they'd be expected to, but if not they could've stumped up a fiver for the stream.

Bell is a lot more solid, has more confident finishing, and coming in from the left is opening up shooting opportunities. List the main things you wanted to see improve, and he's nailing it. Well done Sam and coaches. If he can take this formbinto the new season against much better opposition, it could get interesting very quickly.

Well, it wouldn't be up to them, but would be extremely idiotic of us to play him.
-
That was nice of them ?. I asked for the Portsmouth game, only to be told it had to be one of the others (ie hpc games), which I already had. So I doubled up on the Swindon fixture, and gave the spare code to a friend. My mistake for taking them at their word.

What I (and I assume everyone else) cant understand is how you can bugger up the collar on a football shirt. I mean everything must be templated and cut to size/marked out by computer, just leaving a semi automated stitching/finishing. It's not like they're ballsing up everyone elses kit.

I remember the excuse for going digital was that the print version was losing money. Since paper prices have skyrocketed over the last few years (due to reduced demand, inflation etc) the position must be markedly worse now. (Someone like @Shtanley might have a handle on the costs.) I wonder what the price/page count will be. Looking forward to it coming back anyway.

Someone edits the word doc. Someone agrees the edit. Goes to CEO. He sends back for further amendment/typo that hadn't been spotted in previous bids. Gets printed, signed off by CEO, faxed to city by secretary (I still like to think the fax is used). -

Did you notice the lady giving you an evil look? You know you can't really go pants only in this day and age. -

Wow. You've clearly earned your free lifetime pass for ragging on Bournemouth. -

I think that if he's good enough for better things then his stats will show it in the medium term and he'll get a move. At the moment there is no urgency for a top six club to sign him and they will all have better options available. -

Crikey. Did a stick of rock end up somewhere it shouldn't have at some point? -
RIP Chris. I certainly remember Chris playing for us post 82, and he still looked the part then. To do that after what had happened was classy. Thanks everyone for posting your memories, and showing so much love and respect for a legend.

Done. ? Good luck.

I refuse to enter the ground though anything other than a big red gate after giving big Dave a nod and a wink and a fiver. (Joking. And I used to pay my way back in the day.)

Yes. I think this will make potential bidders realise that something much closer to our valuation is going to be required. At least bournmouth know not to bother with their next lowball bid. I see this playing out over the next week. -

This came up a few days ago - it's definitely on at the moment.
