    BCFC Ap

Yes I had the same issue. I updated the app on my iPhone and the new version of the app doesn’t have the robins tv live audio/video options, so I did the same as you and listened via City website. Seems odd and hopefully they’ll do a further update to the app shortly. I’ve held off updating the app on my iPad for now though.
  2. That’s a good idea. Likely to get bigger crowds too as the first match back
  3. This is the nub of it for me. Does anyone on here really know the wage bill? NP is saying that we are at, or at least very close to, to the limit on wages. So clearly the club are telling him that. Difficult to counter that isn’t it? For me, this is critical to understanding whether any new owner could invest a pot of gold. Personally I wouldn’t have an issue if the Gate gave naming rights to an appropriate and suitably funded local business - Thatchers Ashton Gate anyone?! - if that helped the bottom line materially. I know a lot of fans wouldn’t like that though.
  4. This is where I am. And, as I’ve said before, I don’t feel the desperation that we have to get promoted this season or even next (2025-26 would be lovely though, exactly 50 years since last time!)
  5. Genuine Q as I don’t know the detail on how it works: Would any new owner be able to pump more money into the playing squad without falling foul of FFP? Just trying to understand whether having a new owner would make a lot of difference to what we can do.
  6. Different class. Shame we didn’t get him a season earlier (play off final season)
  7. Agree - should look at it in the round, good and bad; and that’s what Pearson does. No knee jerk reactions. P.S. I wasn’t saying O’Leary was a younger player; my examples were Knight and Semenyo.
  8. Agree. That goes for all players in fact. Players have good games and some bad games, especially younger players. After one bad game, it doesn’t mean they are not ‘up to championship standard’ or ‘we should get rid’. Some fans were even questioning Knight’s value after/during the home matches. And who can forget one of Semenyo’s early matches when he had a shocker. Look at him now. They need our support to build their confidence and help us get better. I’d much rather let Pearson judge whether a player is up to championship standard or not.
  9. This Q&A sums it up really: What are some of the challenges the club faces at the moment? Generally, I think working inside the financial frameworks and getting the squad in the right place to be able to compete. We have got some great young players coming through the Academy that will go onto to play in the first team next season. It is going to be exciting over the next few years giving these guys the chance to develop. But working within the financial framework of the league while trying to get the squad in the best shape it can be, is our biggest challenge.
  10. Possibly 15 Sept as wouldn’t be surprised if it was selected for TV.
  11. No Ayling played RCB in back 3. Little/Tavernier played RWB.
  12. He’s just scored for Wycombe v Bristol Rovers!
  13. Hamstring tendon apparently. Shame for the lad - he was so promising in 2022-23 pre-season and then got his injury. What might have been. I always think back to Karleigh Osborne’s injury in pre-season before our league one championship season as I thought he might have been a starter; what might have been there too for both him and us (of course Ayling, Flint, and Williams then made a wonderful back 3 and the rest is history). Wilson is starting to look a bit like Liam Walsh though in terms of injuries - and Pearson alluded to needing him to work harder to get fitter - in which case we did well to transfer him.
  14. Yes would be good. Suppose another option for Norwich would be to keep Naismith in defence, rest Vyner, and play Dickie on the right.
  15. Agree Naismith is a joy to watch. I said same, even when he was making mistakes last season. He makes such a difference to our play. I presume he could do similar from a deep midfield role though which enables Dickie to come back in and he has looked good defensively. Anyone know who replaced Naismith in the Luton defence as I’m somewhat surprised they did so well without him?
  16. The offside goal replay is on the match thread. Very tight but just offside.
  17. I think Naismith in midfield is a good creative option too. In fact with Dickie back, I would put him there.
  18. I think everyone understands it might be a while as Pearson said he might need an op too at that same presser. As for the rumour that he’s out for the season, who knows where that came from - may have come from a bloke on Facebook! Seems unlikely that anyone knows if no definite decision made on treatment yet (op or no op).
  19. Pearson said in his last pre match presser that he didn’t know how long he would be out. Personally not convinced we need a daily update.
  20. What question is there to ask again and again? The question’s been asked and answered - he has a bacterial infection, it’s a private medical situation, and the club doesn’t know how long he will be out. So he’s not available until we hear different.
  21. Interesting comment on the Hull forum: Lucky to get a point out of that, we were poor most of the game. Can't help but think we're being over-coached, LR wants us to look like Barcelona or somebody but we're just not good enough, so why not get us playing what we might be good at? We're in the Championship for heavens sake, not Champions League. As others have said, Hull play very differently to Preston and Birmingham. We do well against more expansive teams like Hull. Need to find a way to get behind more organised defences. Pearson was pretty clear on how we should have done it in his interviews after Preston and Brum - he felt our wide players didn’t do the business/get forward/want the ball. Hopefully we’re learning.
