  1. Some people seem to think that a manager acquiring players is as easy as a kid in a sweet shop. Pearson has already said that we have our targets but it is a question of whether they are doable (for a variety of reasons) and that there is no point acquiring players for the sake of it, not least as that might prevent us signing players that we really want in January.
  2. Not an unnatural arm position in my view. Look at her other harm too
  3. What’s the opposite of a happy clapper? Is it a sad boo-er?
  4. Put things into perspective. You never know what other people have gone through/are going through.
  5. Exactly as I saw it. Certainly not the worst performance in 40 years, no competition, players not trying etc as some seem to be suggesting on other threads. I thought we did give it a go especially after HT and at that stage I thought we’d turn it around. Dickie’s second booking looks harsh to me looking at the highlights - but I gusss he needed to stay well away. Wells’ chance might have got us a draw on another day. For attacking intent, I thought yesterday was better than v Preston. As you say, though, we made too many passing errors in defensively dangerous areas.
  6. Press unhide on the ticket. Or go to wallet settings and turn off hide expired passes. I think it will still work at the turnstile if you open it from expired anyway
  7. I wondered whether you might have missed the cut off but I checked the FAQs (below) and you should be able to do it up until 12 noon so no idea sorry: How late can I forward a Ticket? Digital Season Tickets can be forwarded up to three hours before the game
  8. No discussion on this thread as to whether Wiegman might be remotely interested in taking on the England men’s job, which would be the most important question in my eyes. I’d be amazed if she would choose to go anywhere near it.
  9. You’re going to avoid Sky?! Because we’re going to score a hatful!
  10. Check automatic updates on. Or if on already, turn off and on again.
  11. Affected some people. Mentioned in the digital tickets thread. City have reminded people today too https://x.com/bristolcity/status/1692522253752164537?s=61&t=ZxINpSuDvEat_GEF9-1BXg
  12. Two nice interviews here with Donnie Gillies and Geoff Merrick re Chris Garland. Good friends off the pitch as well, right back to childhood in Geoff’s case. Garland broke Merrick’s nose in a match when they were aged 11 and 9 respectively! Stories of climbing over the gates to get into Ashton Gate at half time when they were kids etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sgMgj2Y6bg
  13. This thread prompted me to see what City say about our history on their website. Tony Pulis gets a mention but Alan Dicks doesn’t ? https://www.bcfc.co.uk/club-history/
  14. Thank you. Fascinating. And I never appreciated we had two players playing for England in the same match. What an era that must have been. Runners up in the league too.
  15. That sparked my interest too - smallest town to have played in the English top flight: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glossop_North_End_A.F.C.
  16. His head was preserved in champagne presumably! Also ironic that we were wearing blue before Rovers, and in a big match at that!
  17. Yes does look like him - clearer on the black and white version, although the colour is a collector’s item given our blue shirts! What a day out that must have been!
  18. I’m guessing that Billy Wedlock is the player central on the edge of the six yard box
  19. I’ve seen a number of Leicester fans say similar; they recognise and appreciate Pearson’s role in their Premier League win.
  20. Thanks, I’d missed that. I hadn’t appreciated the amount of late goals stats that he posted here. We’re on the right track. https://x.com/foxpunter/status/1690999556589129728?s=46&t=Lrw08Dd2QjCu1binMEvLeQ
  21. @GrahamC and if auto updates were already on, I found that when I turned auto updates off and on again, it updated to Birmingham immediately (I did this the day after the Preston match only because my wife’s had already updated automatically whereas mine had moved to expired)
  22. Let it go Geoff! I thought it was good. To be fair Twentyman often had repeated interviews too. I don’t have a problem with that as I won’t always have managed to catch them before. If you listen on BBC sounds a bit later in the evening (or even just behind live) you can always skip through the content that doesn’t float your boat.
