Blimey Kasey Palmer warming up. Thought he was done for the season
-
Calm from the striker - great pass
-
Set pieces are one of the areas that we need to improve significantly - especially corners. Luton look very threatening from theirs. We don’t.
-
I was going to say the same. I think Naismith in particular would have been great for Vyner this season - a great communicator, confident on the ball and calm under pressure. The whole of the back four has looked calmer and more confident and I don’t think it is a coincidence.
-
Spot on - especially the bit re Brighton; still the most down I’ve been after a City match.
-
Yes I saw that and this will be much better. For starters, even before the season starts, we’ll know kick off dates and times are set in stone from early Aug to early Jan.
-
Yes, although I only live 30 mins away from Southampton and I work there so I’m looking forward to them being back in our Division! You’re right about the road though as I go the other way to Ashton Gate - train more pleasant (when they put more than 3 carriages on!)
-
Likely to have Southampton too.
-
Johnson seems happy with the appointment - gives him more time on the training pitch etc https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/articles/cw45enpdvpeo

Great season. The only season (in nearly 50 years) where before kick off I expected - no, I knew - we would win.
-
Being assisted by Karl Robinson (MK Dons manager in our league one promotion season and more recently Charlton and Oxford). Have they worked with each other before? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65444406

Nigel Pearson previews our last home fixture against Burnley!

If you regard talking about finishing strongly and going for promotion next season as a lack of enthusiasm, then what are you looking for? Talk of Champions League in five years, perhaps?! -
Remember when we thought Luton were bitter to us in the programme?

Anyone still got the programme notes from our match against them? Better check the first letters! -
Harry thoroughly deserves a goal ?
-
2025-26 for me. A nice symmetry with that too - exactly 50 years since we last did it and it would be 11 consecutive seasons at this level before promotion; same as in 1976.

No special set up other than logging into your Sky account. It’s the Sky Sports app.

Yes dropping line a stone. They were in the top six in mid December.
-
I just feel it is kick up the backside from Pearson to Wilson - he wants him to work harder in training. I also can’t see Tanner being dropped any time soon - thought he was excellent today; he also wins some vital far post defensive headers even though he’s isn’t particular tall. When Wilson is fitter, I wouldn’t mind seeing how he takes to the wide right position that Weimann started in today. Wilson’s crossing looked sharp in pre-season and it is something we have not been great at of late.

Thanks for posting. He deserves to do well with his positive outlook. Good to hear that John Terry etc reached out when he was at his lowest point too.

I was convinced that a defender would stop the Walshy shuffle (but they never did) I was sure we were getting to the league cup final in 1989 (until Walshy hit the post at the end of normal time; we lost in extra time) I was convinced we would beat Rovers at Trumpton in 1990 and win the championship (but we lost 3-0 and also gave the championship to them) I was sure we were going to beat Brighton in the play-off final in 2004 (and was gutted when we didn’t) I thought the East End was the east end until they built the South Stand.
-
Talking of things people got wrong… I was looking at the stats on the ceiling of the South Stand at the last home match and I hadn’t appreciated that Billy Wedlock had a gap in his time with us. So I looked him up and he played a few games for us in 1900-01 but we rejected him as not being good enough. He then played semi-pro at Aberdare before we resigned him in 1905 and we then had our purple patch (promotion to Div 1, Div 1 runners-up, FA Cup runners-up) and he played 26 times for England. So whoever at City rejected Billy Wedlock at age 20…..!

Great selection of pics. I see we even had safe standing on the East End roof back in the 1930s! I presume that was the record attendance match v Preston in Feb 1935.

Did a Google search and it seems you can share stuff from Apple wallet, something I hadn’t appreciated. Details on the attached screenshot. I just tried it out on something on my wallet. Hopefully the City season ticket allows this since, if so, it might even be handier than a plastic card as the latter means you have to meet outside the ground to hand over the card which sometimes isn’t ideal when people are travelling from afar/different directions/running late. I’ve also read about some digital season tickets refreshing before each match so that the code you scan is match specific. Anyway it will all become clear in due course.

Brian Tinnion Signed 30 Years Ago Today
eardun replied to 3 Peaps In A PodCast's topic in Football Chat
I was going to post similar. I vividly remember a section of the crowd giving him stick in his early days with us. It’s one of the reasons why I have no time for fans who make immediate judgements on new players.
