  1. Oh yes - the cross-eyed lion.
  2. I’d like to take them to extra time. And yes a penalty shoot out could be interesting (tense!) - especially as Gordon Owen is long gone!
  3. ? There was plenty of seagull crap on my seat on Saturday so you have a point!
  4. I think this for the front 6 although Weimann might get in for Bell potentially. Wells Bell Scott Sykes Williams James
  5. Pep pre-match interview: Guardiola assessment on Phillips and Alvarez
  6. I think he was referring to Steve Galliers (who was petite) rather than Petit so it was fair.
  7. Great match. My wife (girlfriend at the time) still talks about it. I loved Robbie Turner (and my girlfriend/wife).
  8. Come on Ronnie you must have one at home - you used to wear it.
  9. Yep - just polishing my Robbie Turners (elbows)
  10. These might be useful for people too (I had downloaded and saved):
  11. Wouldn’t surprise me if Weimann plays v Man City (for Bell)
  12. Yes bonkers indeed. Pearson’s second anniversary on Friday I see - hopefully more to come.
  13. Interesting to see that it was the battle of the ex City managers today - Johnson v McInnes. Johnson came out on top.
  14. Just no. But how about a half and half with Gavin Ward?!
  15. Sounds like a great performance today and Nigel said on RB that we were excellent so he is happy (apart from the injury to Atkinson and how the officials dealt with it). Sunderland fans are complimentary to us on their forum - one said that we were the best team that they had seen at their place this season.
  16. Agree. And while I’ve never felt that LCB is Kalas’s best position, he has even played there for the Czech Republic so there is no reason to change.
  17. It’s the Sky Sports app rather than Sky Go.
  18. I always thought Jones’ appointment at Southampton was surprising. Thought he might last longer than just three months though.
  19. We certainly miss Matty James when he’s not available which says it all.
  20. This, quite simply, sums up the change in strategy. We now largely go for hungry, quick, energetic, reasonably priced, reasonably paid players who we can, and who want to, improve. As Gould says, it is amount getting value for every penny we spend.
  21. Where are all the doubters? Perhaps they are the ones missing from the South Stand!
  22. Suspect that as ever there will be a variety of reasons - people away (especially as half term), people having to work on occasions, illness (sometimes long term), even death possibly (of the fan or a family member), family commitments, travel issues (train strikes for example although not today of course) etc. And some people will buy season cards knowing that, even if they miss, say, 8 games, they are still only playing £25 a match in the SS. However I don’t see that as a reason for the club to penalise all fans by putting the prices up. You pays your money and you are entitled to your choice.
