  1. It’s unrestricted on the internet as FA cup so you can listen on radio Bristol online, bbc sounds, bbc sport website etc
  2. Whoever gets the gig, I hope people give them time. People forget how poor Lineker was when he started out - very wooden - but he is clearly excellent now.
  3. If someone loses the higher or lower game, then we know the IT system is really clucked.
  4. Bet that’s it. No red button option on TV for me but ok on app
  5. Explains why from virgin I guess.
  6. If even @Davefevsis showing poor form, we really are doomed! No need for people to ‘boo’ him as well (to which hopefully the response is ‘I’ve been booed on far bigger forums’). Hardly a bookable offence on which, after all, is a football forum.
  7. Agree. Best for everyone to read it in full context. Nothing to see here and certainly not disrespectful to us as some fans have complained. Quite funny really - fans boo Pearson and then don’t like it when he points out that it has no effect on him! Every word from Nigel Pearson on Bristol City fan criticism, confidence, transfers and loans - Bristol Live
  8. A break in the sense that we know it is quite common for young players to start well but then have a dip in form. I would rather we gave Scott a break than flog him to death while he is struggling for form.
  9. This is precisely what Pearson was saying re attitude and mentality in his pre-match press conference. So he certainly realises it and that is precisely the reason why I disagree with the sentiment that it is time for Pearson to go. There are not many managers who would have the balls to take it on and to see it through.
  10. And we were shocking that night and the atmosphere was toxic. If I recall correctly, Cotterill got into an argument with a fan. Personally - at the time - I wished we could have given Cotterill more time, but let’s not pretend everything was rosy back then.
  11. Scott needs a break in my opinion. I thought the same after his second half performance in the last match as well. Not surprising that he should need a break given his age.
  12. The stated 23k will be tickets sold (as usual) rather than a claim of 23k in attendance.
  13. I agree with this. I think it is more in the fans’ minds now just because it has happened in the past. Certainly behind me yesterday a fan was audibly panicking every time we did it even though we had it under control!

Personally I would have preferred it if he hadn’t mentioned Atkinson at all although to be fair to him he was specifically asked why King and not Atkinson.

I’m guessing but I wonder whether Atkinson hasn’t come back in top shape after the break. Perhaps the view is that he didn’t do his fitness programme that they all had to do while they were away. I do recall that in Pearson’s interview before the restart, there was an implication that not everyone had come back in top shape - can’t recall the exact words he used but it was along the lines of ‘for the most part’ when he commented on this. I remember thinking at the time I wonder who the naughty boy is. This would align to the ‘trust’ comment though.

I think Pearson does too. Which is the issue I think because, for whatever reason, Pearson feels Atkinson is not fulfilling his potential. Atkinson had a rocky period last season as well - admitted he put on too much weight etc - and let’s hope that he can come back again. Hopefully Pearson’s motivation tactics work.
  17. We’ve coped with 5-2-1-2 in the past (with Weimann the 1). In addition Sykes and Pring are comfortable moving into midfield areas to add weight there so at times it would be 3-4-1-2
  18. Not been as frustrated with a ref as I was today for a long time. He lost control. I nearly did as well having to put up with him, as did Weimann!
  19. Just think Sykes has had his rest, looked back on form, and adds a lot at RWB. I would put Weimann back to where he was so successful last season. I accept he needed a break from there as he wasn’t playing that well earlier in the season but I would shake it up again. I would rest one of Scott or Williams - certainly Scott had a poor game today I thought.

Not sure what has happened re Atkinson. Did he have a bad game before the break? He was part of the Lincoln shocker but I didn’t think he was the worst performer that night. Has he come back after the break not in great shape? Who knows. I assumed he was just ill but on Radio Bristol after the match Pearson made it very clear that he trusts King over Atkinson so there is something going on there.
  21. I’d put Weimann back centrally behind the front 2 now. Where he was successful before. No surprise that when we had that good move today and he hit the post, he had moved into the centre.
  22. Get Sykes back in at RWB now. Looked good when he came on
